Or does that mean that unless the NCAA grants Schott a covid year Jace is gone?
Brauny has said many times Schott has another COVID year. I guess he has to apply for it. I don't know how all of that works but it makes sense.
It's a JuCo issue. Same with Chestnut and Evan. NJCAA declared that 20-21 did not count for eligibility purposes. But you still have to apply to NCAA to get that waiver as I understand it
Quote:
Charlotte, NC The NJCAA Board of Regents met Thursday to discuss NJCAA student-athlete eligibility for the 2020-21 academic year. Following the Board of Regents' vote, all 2020-21 NJCAA sport seasons (fall, winter, spring) will not count towards student-athlete eligibility. The eligibility relief is provided to all NJCAA student-athletes regardless of sport season participation in the 2020-21 academic year.
Schott is from the Ivy League and I believe that league played a reduced schedule in 2021. 2020 is obvious. The ivies and jucos from that time have an extra 2 years. I guess you have to apply for it - it's not just automatic
I’m really gonna need you to approve that extra year now @NCAA @NCAABaseball . I would like to delay reality a LITTLE bit longer.

Word is that Jace and Schott are a "package or team" so that's bodes well for them staying put in Aggieland.

To be fair, he may only be the all time homerun leader for one year.203Raggie said:The Banned said:1991sir said:
It's my understanding that we have matched any offer dollar for dollar.
Unfortunately we can't match that tiny ballpark and the gaudy stats it can offer him.
Let it be known I do not have any inside info but I do have plenty of BAS
They can't offer his chance to be the all time homerun leader at Texas A&M. Name written in a record book. Immortality.
Stay tuned…. https://t.co/JJ5MKaF0K8
