Kent has made it pretty clear that he's not coming back unless he gets a guarantee that he's playing shortstop. I wouldn't count on him.

Wyatt Hensler is the all time Ivy League HR leader and the Ivy League POY. He plays 3B (well), hit about .365 with 22HRs last year (after .320/18 and .300/14 the prior 2 years). Just hit laser after laser vs. Cornell in the Ivy final. It was very impressive. He came on our radar when we played Penn in 2022 and he went 6-10 with 4 doubles a HR and 4 RBI. Creates a logjam at 3B with Gavin obviously, so the question is who moves and to where? My initial thought was he'd play 1B. He's 6'1, 210ish. Now I wonder if he can/would play 2B?

Bergevin I know less about. Arizona kid playing at Fairfield. Hit .290 with 18 HRs this year. I think about 60ks/45BBs if I remember. Last year he hit closer to .360 with less power. Big kid at 6'4, 250. He's playing a little corner OF this summer, but seems more of a pure 1B. Right handed.

Well if Ali returns he has no leg to stand on re: SS. Hope he sees the bigger picture as it's his batting and defensive positions versatility that will make him a high draft pick after next season.

I'm not convinced keeping the 12th man in baseball is a good idea. It was a Schloss idea and may need to be flushed.

Evidence of it spreading to other sports with #s. I don't see a new HC who "get's A&M" wanting to get rid of the 12thman in their sport. Not like Schloss came up with the idea all on his own, just borrowed it from football.
