Got to hand it to the entire staff at TexAgs for covering everything for the totally insane events for the last couple of weeks.
IMO we all need to heap praises and show our appreciation to these folks!
I'll start:
Rookie of the Year: RICHARD ZANE!!!! - Young man got the call, stepped up to the plate and landed the biggest shot a reporter can land on a lying piece of crap. That one moment, set the direction for how the whole story played out. Sips looked like they were going to pull on over on us, then bam. Their coach was exposed for the POS he really is. Thank you Richard, you are well on your way to becoming a legend.
Coach of the Year: Billy Liucci - Back in the day we didn't have a media voice to counteract the Sip spin machine. Thank you Billy for building and continuing to work day to day to improve our online community. And most importantly, Thank you for pushing and allowing Richard to ask the question! It was perfect!
Man of the Year: David Nuno - At first I thought it was extremely weird that the face of TexAgs was broadcasting from a hotel room during the team's run through the CWS. Seriously who does this/how unprofessional/he should be in Omaha? THEN I heard him say it, "I made a commitment to my daughter" There it is - An Aggie stepped up and put his family commitments ahead of his job. Kudos to you David! That is an extremely hard thing to do as a fan who wants to see his team play in Omaha, let alone it being your profession. (side note: kudos to Billy for allowing it as his boss). It was a little wonky and there were some technical issues, yet David did a great job and showed the world what Aggies are all about.
Everyone over there deserves a nice quiet vacation this week!
