Trying to put the pieces together here….

Monday we lose game 3
Tuesday he is introduced as a coach for texas
Wednesday/Thursday there's momentum of him maybe being a candidate for the open HC job for us
Saturday reports are confirmed and he's announced

How did this all actually go down in regards to his contract(s) between us and texas? Did he not actually sign a contract with texas? Was he technically still under contract with us?

I am a little confused as the true process and contract pieces looking back

It's amazing the work that can be done in a cemetery. You'd think it would be a dead end.

You may have cracked the case! Sounds like Earley was probably the instigator of everything. [eyeroll]

Alberts doing due diligence must have missed something. [eyeroll]

Schloss looks like the [eggplant], but maybe he's just an innocent victim of the Machiavellian Earley. [eyeroll] [eyeroll] [eyeroll]

I think since Earley never changed his Twitter allegiance, it indicates he never signed.

I think the Sips Presser was Wednesday, but too lazy to confirm.

Seems likely he would be given a couple days to review the offer
also seems likely it would have standard language that if offered a HC Job he would be free to take it.
Lastly if one of the rumored HC candidates said yes Earley would have been able to interview before giving tu a final answer but for appearances sake Schloss wanted everybody in Austin

I'm sure Trev talked with Earley about interviewing prior to him signing the sips contract.

I remember hearing very early on, potentially even before he was floated as a serious candidate but after sip press conference, that he hadn't signed his contract yet.

Do we know anything about his HC contract? Term? Pay?

This transition was irregular.

Usually multiple assistants stay behind and run the program even if they have spots waiting for them at the head coach's new school if they want it. One assistant is usually elevated to interim coach.

The only reason to accept a new job at the head coach's new school so fast, especially if you had ambitions to replace the head coach, would be if you were told that you had to accept now or a slot might not be held for you.

There are a whole lot of unanswered questions to this story, and I would like to know the details.

Don't forget the sips supposedly doubled the Aggie assistant's salaries….I'd venture to say that was an incentive to join Schlong at Sip Land too.

All I know is the picture taken of all 4 of them Earley had the biggest frown on his face. You could tell he wasn't happy with the way all of this went down. I'm just glad he's back where he belongs.

It's a popular place. Everyone is dying to get in there!
