Earley: "I know I'm supposed to make you great baseball players, I want that. But I also want to help you guys in life. Whatever you need."

As far as ADs go, Trev has been the first one we've had that I did not feel like is shoveling dung.

Cortez's shoes have the pringles logo on them. I've never noticed that before.

They want someone who pours into them and sees them as more than great baseball players
Was this a quote.

And this is why Nebraska fans are so upset with him. They truly loved the guy as a player and AD

Earley sounds a lot like Tony V.
ehhh.. in MLB probably. In college if it makes sense based on your roster. but being a slave to it is dumb. You saw in Omaha what happens. Opponents threw their best at us, regardless of L/R matchups. Bullpens aren't deep enough to match-up on a consistent basis. You go get the guy you're sure can throw strikes and you let that guy pitch until he can't.dabo man said:
R/L/R/L/R is a sign of greatness in a lineup.

Serious question, then. Why did he leave?
I agree. It only makes sense if you have the personnel. If you don't, there's no need to force it because that's how it always used to be. And many great hitters, lefties especially, actually have reverse splits.Sean98 said:ehhh.. in MLB probably. In college if it makes sense based on your roster. but being a slave to it is dumb. After watching this and the 'other' press conference, totally believe Trev told someone who shouldn't be named if he doesn't want to work here there is the door.
There was a small period of time in which they were (two maybe three seasons in the early '00s) but for the vast majority of my time following Fightin' Texas Aggie Baseball names have not been on the back of jerseys.RogerTheShrubber said:
Noticed no name on the back of Earleys jersey. Also noticed during the tu shlobfest, they made a BIG deal about if they spelled Schlobs name correctly.
IMHO, both press conferences were night and day from each other, in the very best of ways!!

When the new stadium is built like to see Rob Childress get his number retired like Chandler's & Johnson's. Rob won 665 games here & is 3rd all time winningest coach in Aggie Baseball history.jkag89 said:Would have been funnier if it was POS instead of a big L but still fantastic.RED AG 98 said:
