Schloss was a great coach. Took us to finals. Left the program far better than he found it. Let it go. Now let's go beat him.

He didn't mean to. He tried to burn it down.

And therein lies the problem. He just didn't go away quietly. He and his little buddy Del conte tried to burn it down.

Point of Sale is a grown man who needs a friend in Austin and money and his girlfriend and his job and fans that cared weren't enough?

I'm sure that living the alternative lifestyle he can while in Austin and finding out how long CDC can hold his breath while gorging on Shlongssenagles had nothing to do with it. Elton J, and George M. had girlfriends too.

This perspective of ignoring the obvious is the same reason that everyone holds them with such high regard in the media before this season begins over on the football board.

AGGIES got a story for yuhhh.....didn't you all hear they are ripping up the turf at DK Royal Stadium in Austin and replacing it with cardboard? The Longhorns always look great on paper.

In his infamous press conference, even if taken in the most favorable light, it seems to be that POS was saying that, when he took the A&M job, it was definitely not just a stepping stone, but a destination job, but that circumstances changed.

But, we all know that POS is a lying slimebag ******, and me thinks that POS protests too much.

The more I take stock of the situation, the more I believe that tu was the ultimate destination all along, and the A&M gig was just a pit stop on the track to that destination. Along the way, the combination of (in ascending order of importance) his success at TCU, the amazing atmosphere at Olsen, our amazing fanbase, and, most importantly, our NIL checkbook, resulted in more success than he had anticipated.

Unfortunately for POS's plans, our post-season just kept dragging on and on, delaying his opportunity to make the jump and start officially working for his new team. He pulled the trigger just as fast as he could given the unfortunate circumstances.

Put all that together and you get the train wreck we witnessed this summer.

The super simple answer is YES.

His eyes were always on Austin. We were his TCU and bad family decisions escape-clause.

What fact. The fact he had no issues trying to hurt the players and program he worked for the last three years.

He has no conscious. Only cares about what is best for him.

If he had taken several of our best players. He would not have left the program in a better place. Which is what he tried to do.

If anything, Earley and our players have kept the program in a good place.

Those are the facts.

And they seem to escape you. The program is in a better place due to the integrity of the new coach, the integrity of the current players and the Aggie fan base.

None of those 3 are a product of POS.

Eh, he wanted to get out of TCU because a divorce and his ex banging a member of the AD.

We offered an opportunity to compete with more resource but not be too far from his kids.

He never really embraced the culture and butted heads with the athletic directors. He then saw an out and took it.
that's probably about right.

Add in he wanted to work for CDC who happened to be at Texas now… and there ya go.

Just curious where all the intel is coming from regarding his personal life (wife cheating on him or him cheating on her, girlfriend, swinger, etc)? Hard to imagine we didn't take these account when we hired him… if you cheat on one area of your life you will do it in others… leaving/cheating on us wasn't hard, if he's wiling to leave/cheat on his family

He cheated. Wife left him. He didn't really leave his family. His kids were in college.

I think he was always playing with words when he said things like this:

"I left my family to come here" --> I left all the friends people I'd known for nearly two decades to come here. Not literal family. just family in the loose term.

"When I took this job, I considered it my last job. That hasn't changed." --> It's not me, it's you. I didn't change, you didn't keep up your end of the deal and it's not what I expected.

"I could cry when I think about the 12th Man." --> We took this as positive at the time, but maybe it was a partial truth and he meant it negatively. I really don't like all the stupid traditions and things they do. I mean they don't even want cheerleaders at football games.

Maybe (probably) over-analyzing, just something I've thought of late for no good reason at all.

So, It's now known Trev knew prior to the super regional. And Schloss knew that Trev knew. So Schloss starts going over the top in his praise of the 12th man. Just more manipulation.

As far as leaving his family. His actions were betrayal to his family(wife and kids) long before he ever thought about leaving TCU and ended up being the reason it no longer existed. Him saying he left his family was just to gain sympathy and deflect.

Woah. That's a whole other level of manipulative speech I never considered…. It started all the way back to his acceptance speech - Intentionally misrepresenting truth. I don't understand why his kids were seeming so supportive either. Did you know the circumstances of his divorce when he was hired?

People are making this a lot more complicated than it is. CDC was hired at Texas when Pierce was one year into his contract, and he and Schloss were just biding their time until the circumstances were right for CDC to clear the path for Schloss to make his move to Texas. It was a done deal from the moment CDC was hired. Anything that happened between then and now was just killing time. Schloss's relationship with Trev had nothing to do with it. The facilities had nothing to do with it. It was all gonna happen anyway.

Something else he said in indignation to Richard Zane's question was that he had a bunch of kids scheduled on campus the following week. We've read how Jason Hutchinson and local HS coaches scrambled to pull off the baseball camp, but do you think Sch****** even lifted a finger to help? I'll bet he never even thought about it.

I think so (stepping stone)- but has less to do with Texas A&M and more to do with the allure of replicating what he did here with an AD that will give him free reign.

What I think he is underestimating is the "team chemistry" that has galvanized this current squad. The Vols said to a man that they were a team in the purest sense, not just a bunch of highly rated, NIL gobbling players.

So in a way, if next year's team wins it all (it could happen*) - we can thank POS for lighting that fire.

*Would like to have all those pitchers back tho…

This. If this convo went down and he knew he was leaving, it helps his ego to seem as if he was basically asked to leave. Woe is me. Poooooor POS

once Del Conte ended up as the sips' A.D....

it was only a matter of time before Schloss jumped
tu's move to the sec solidified it.

The telling thing was during his presser when he said auggie always told him the program was bigger than the coach. His entire stint in maroon was his biggest lie of all.
