Serious Turgeon vibes. Always found something to whine about and then goes to a Blue Blood for the sport. They're going to eat him alive.
From what I've read, if they aren't spending enough, it's not from lack of trying. I think they would open up the wallet for the right guys, but our roster told them no, and the stench from ******nozzle's move hasn't been a plus with guys in the portal that everyone wanted.themissinglink said:
They aren't spending enough on NIL for baseball. They could be okay next year if the draft and player development goes their way, but they aren't going to compete for top level portal kids if they don't open up the check book.
I expect to see fireworks in Austin, and not the cool kind. But the 'oh sht, we just blew up our garage kind'. Now that the word is out there, won't take long with one of the privileged sippy mom or dads to go postal on POS.LB12Diamond said:

If I were to talk serious. The biggest issue with him having success at sippyville will be if his players can rally together to overcome his mental games and treating them as a business. He's clearly NOT a players coach.
A players parent stated the 2022 team bonded and worked to overcome his antics. From Albert's comments with his interaction with the team, they also clearly did it again this year.
I'm not sure Texas players will have the unity or mental strength to do what the A&M players did these past three years. Heck, Pierce lost the team this past year from what was reported. Or maybe it was just sips stating things to justify firing him.

His next interview will be complaining about their baseball facilities. Get your popcorn ready.
I went and checked out some sip threads. They are already eating their own. Blaming the turf and other nonsense.

Schloss, for all his many faults, is a good coach. Anyone that is expecting him to take a good team and turn them into trash is going to be very disappointed.

Schloss has a great baseball mind but from what everyone at TCU and A&M said he doesn't care about the players, just the results. Players just want to play and can get around a narcissistic couch, we had a few all star coaches like that in pony league and won state a few times. Suffering can bring you closer

I think Jim Sclossnagle goes Jimbo.
This is his last job. No other D1 program will touch him. He'll have a short run… get a bigger contract and then mentally check out waiting for his buyout as CDC tearfully fires him.
Maybe that's a daydream, but it sounds plausible to me.

Wasn't it the sip field where the wall call apart and had to delay the game because of the trash spilling out onto the field? Just an outdated rat infested stadium.

They need a lot of help on the mound. With their current roster, playing a 30 game SEC schedule is going to be rough.Sq 17 said:Sean98 said:

Is tu a good enough to team to make the playoffs next year?
Seems like everybody needs to bring in portal talent and reload
It looks like tu's transfer talent is a little thin
SEC baseball might be more competitive than SEC football. While Schloss is as capable a coach as any coach in the conference, will he be more successful at Texas than he was at A&M? If he doesn't have that immediate success, will he have the willpower to keep focused for 5-10 full years to build that elite team necessary to be best in SEC and best in the nation. Or will he get tired, bored and phone it in....BiochemAg97 said:AggByMarriage said:P.U.T.U said:

I agree that is the ultimate outcome. There were rumors of 10 year, 3 mil per year contract and he has already made reference to retiring (not wanting to coach forever) in some of his burnt orange interview comments. If the contract rumors are true, I think this is his bigger contract. However, I don't think he has already checked out, but the fan base not responding to his whining and then turning on him will lead to him checking out.
In an odd twist, if he was just looking for a fat golden parachute, it will probably be faster to get fired at tu than at A&M after taking us it to the finals.
The thing that remains to be seen is that it's not just A&M who is going to benefit from the 'character card' during recruiting. Don't think that every other team vying for recruits won't be playing that as well. Before hand, it might have been a rumor or behind-the-scenes kind of thing, but it's been laid bare in the light of day and just going to make his job that much harder. Will he be able to overcome it? Time will tell but the backfire from this fiasco isn't going to do them any favors.Aginnebraska said:SEC baseball might be more competitive than SEC football. I also think Schloss will have a jimbo-type stnt at tu in that he will appear to have a little success early on, but there won't be any real substance behind it and he'll ultimately wind up not doing as welll as his new school expected him to.AggByMarriage said:P.U.T.U said:
