Don't count on schloss self destructing. Keep the hate on this guy and make his world so much smaller than he ever thought it could be.
Wow……I am hearing that @AggieBaseball offered @DBU_Baseball coach Dan Heefner 8 years at $2.9 million a year and he turned it down.

Schloss, for all his many faults, is a good coach. Anyone that is expecting him to take a good team and turn them into trash is going to be very disappointed.
Is tu a good enough to team to make the playoffs next year?
Seems like everybody needs to bring in portal talent and reload
It looks like tu's transfer talent is a little thin

What the sips don't understand is that the rest of the SEC is like a bunch of piranhas. They know the sips are taking media money out of their mouths. I have yet to see where Disney/espn has re-written the media deal to up the ante for the entire conference. So they are a drag on the existing deal until the renewal comes due.

Somewhat interesting to compare Pierce and Schloss. Over the last 10 years....
Pierce went to 3 CWS, 4 regionals and 1 super, and had 1 missed post-season year, with 5 years of 40+ win seasons.
Schloss went to 5 CWS, 3 regionals, and had 1 missed post-season year, with 6 years of 40+ wins seasons.
Both had 1 year wiped due to COVID.
When they were both in the B12 (2017-2021)
In 2017, Pierce came in 6th in conference and went to a regional while Schloss came in 1st and went CWS.
In 2018, Pierce came in 1st in conference and went CWS while Schloss came in 6th with no post-season.
In 2019, Pierce came in 9th with no post season, and Schloss came in 6th with a regional.
2020 was cancelled
2021 they tied for 1st, with TCU making a regional and Pierce making the CWS.
Just based on results, Schloss is just slightly better than they guy they wanted to lynch....
The sips came out of the big 12 as a 3 seed this year. Granted that was pierce and not pos but still. Stretch to say that was a 'good' team.Sean98 said:

I completely understand that one of the few truly unforgivable sins for the Longhorn faithful is losing to A&M.....
Honestly I hadn't really paid attention to tu baseball minus the few times they crossed paths with A&M. I do know Tulane was disappointed Pierce left and struggled until recently (but that may be more due to the coach that followed him). I was just surprised looking at Pierce's record--out of the 7 years that had a postseason, he was in 3 CWS, 2 regionals, and super, with three 1st place conference finishes. That was much better than I would have guessed, but honestly I paid zero attention to sip baseball.
Schloss may be a despicable human, but he seems to be a good coach. I know nothing about Pierce as a person and his record suggests he was a pretty good coach, too.

They aren't spending enough on NIL for baseball. They could be okay next year if the draft and player development goes their way, but they aren't going to compete for top level portal kids if they don't open up the check book.
Know someone who had a kid go through that program. The players DID NOT like Pierce. He lost the team a while back. I know of a starter who DID NOT get hitting coach help after March. They were left on their own. I guess the coach thought he was fine and worked on other players when the kid felt like he hasn't hitting well for a stretch. Hit in the part of the order where you expect a good hitter to be too. This was before Longley arrived.LB12Diamond said:

If I were to talk serious. The biggest issue with him having success at sippyville will be if his players can rally together to overcome his mental games and treating them as a business. He's clearly NOT a players coach. Calling one of your players a little leaguer in the CWS is a very bad look. No other way to slice that one.
A players parent stated the 2022 team bonded and worked to overcome his antics. From Albert's comments with his interaction with the team, they also clearly did it again this year.
I'm not sure Texas players will have the unity or mental strength to do what the A&M players did these past three years. Heck, Pierce lost the team this past year from what was reported. Or maybe it was just sips stating things to justify firing him.

Definitely " Turgeon-esque" dude did not know how good he had it at A&M, thought he was good enough to take MD to the next level ( he wasn't ) and now he is part of the coaching carousel getting hired & getting fired every 5 years.
