I think it's hilarious that he doesn't allow them to call him "Coach Weiner" or anything with his last name, they are all required to call him "Coach Max" or something along those lines.Quincey P. Morris said:

Does that mean like the guy in Ghostbusters that he has no dick? And is embarrassed by the comparison?aTm 99 said:I think it's hilarious that he doesn't allow them to call him "Coach Weiner" or anything with his last name, they are all required to call him "Coach Max" or something along those lines.Quincey P. Doesn't even want to be Coach. He prefers just Max. Like he's their buddy or something.

Haven't even seen their SEC schedule but unlike football, they won't be able to hide from the SEC juggernauts in baseball.

The recruiting pitch every single team that recruits against them needs to hit on is the fact that Schloser has left two schools now for arguably better jobs and not a single player has followed him.

This does raise a question. Everyone seems to think the offense is loaded and will be fine, but I haven't seen very little talk about pitching and the new coach.
In seasons when he’s the primary pitching coach

(UW 2013-2019,
ASU 2020-2021,
LSU 2022)
he lowers the average pitcher’s ERA by 0.5 runs on his staff and consistently decrease BB% (on average by 1.3%).
At LSU he increased the team K% by 3.4%, I expect something similar.
He is a very good coach. That the school created the circumstances of him leaving is both understandable and regrettable. That he left isn't regrettable. Two best outcomes in Texas A&M Baseball history. I'm fine with people being upset, but don't be unhinged.TAMU1990 said:Quincey P. Morris said:AgBQ-00 said:

Any parent (in state) with a baseball recruit would be aware of this. Hopefully it starts costing them recruits at this point. There are kids that won't play for Schloss but there are enough that will. It's the assistants the recruits want to play for. That is who they see the most. My understanding is Weiner is good with the analytics but not so much with the mechanics (old school pitching coaching). There are many ways to grip a baseball and the key is to get the right one for you.

To hell with that. I hope they die of incurable ass warts and that entire program is burned to the ground. Then salt the earth where it stood.
He's probably taken that from his time in pro ball, where he is more of a boss/colleague to his players all working for the same organization than how it is in a college setting. Do you call your boss "Boss" or "Manager" or "Supervisor" or do you call him by his name?trouble said:aTm 99 said:I think it's hilarious that he doesn't allow them to call him "Coach Weiner" or anything with his last name, they are all required to call him "Coach Max" or something along those lines.Quincey P.
