The recruiting pitch every single team that recruits against them needs to hit on is the fact that Schloser has left two schools now for arguably better jobs and not a single player has followed him.

This does raise a question. Everyone seems to think the offense is loaded and will be fine, but I haven't seen very little talk about pitching and the new coach.

Whether we like it or not, he's a solid pitching coach and wronghorns will have improved pitching since last year they didn't even have a pitching coach. I still think a top 25 ranking is overly generous.

They may have the easiest road schedule of anyone in the SEC: Miss St, Mizzou, Kentucky, Arky, Oklahoma

Our road series are at Vandy, Tennessee, Arky, tu, Georgia.

Any parent (in state) with a baseball recruit would be aware of this. Hopefully it starts costing them recruits at this point. There are kids that won't play for Schloss but there are enough that will. It's the assistants the recruits want to play for. That is who they see the most. My understanding is Weiner is good with the analytics but not so much with the mechanics (old school pitching coaching). There are many ways to grip a baseball and the key is to get the right one for you.

The did they same thing when they hired Sark from Alabama. Called him a "national championship coach". Very strange marketing on their part.

I'm all for that! Twitter and social media will be more blunt. Earley doesn't strike me as a negative recruiting kind of guy. I'm sure he's creative enough around the edges to get his point across. He is very competitive though. When he says losing that last game at Omaha gave him nightmares, lost sleep, and is working feverishly to get that opportunity again I believe him.

He is a very good coach. That the school created the circumstances of him leaving is both understandable and regrettable. That he left isn't regrettable. Two best outcomes in Texas A&M Baseball history. I'm fine with people being upset, but don't be unhinged.

He's probably taken that from his time in pro ball, where he is more of a boss/colleague to his players all working for the same organization than how it is in a college setting. Do you call your boss "Boss" or "Manager" or "Supervisor" or do you call him by his name?

Like it or not, Weiner is a great coach. He did some really great things with our pitching staff, and I was sorry to see him leave ESPECIALLY in the manner he did. Real scumbag move by Schloss to put those guys in that situation. Credit to Earley for sticking around, although he was slated to leave as well until he was offered the head job.

The assistants could have told Schloss to pound sand, but bottom line is he hired them here and they wouldn't have had a guaranteed job here if they did. As to the graphic itself, Schloss brought him with him because he was a good coach here. His achievements should be advertised, so I don't have much of a problem with it.

I say all this as a guy who has played the game at this level and having close ties to someone who has played for Schloss. He's an ass to such a degree I'm willing to give Weiner a bit of a pass for how things played out. I said it when he left and I'll say it again now... those guys are either great coaches or great people, but very rarely are they both.
