that was quite a collapse at the end of last season

Arkansas won the Friday night game at Kentucky to reach a gaudy 40-7 overall record...

but then stumbled and bumbled to a 4-9 finish in their last 13 games...including the regional losses to KState and SEMO

They had won something crazy like 34 straight home games (a school record I believe) and then lost a home regional they were heavily favored in. Sports are weird sometimes.

It's a little funny that Arkansas is playing Kansas State and TCU this weekend when those are the two teams who beat them in the postseason the last few years.

Seemingly purple is the piggies kryptonite at least in Fayettenam. The Ags might want to look into special purple alternative jerseys those seasons we travel up to Arky.

I just turned on UIC at UGa, and they've put Astroturf down on Foley Field. You can't maintain a grass field in that mild climate?!?

Too many schools are opting for fake grass. I guess for ease of maintenance. I would almost be OK with it if they would keep dirt where dirt should be like MLB requires. What really gets my craw is how many these schools try to sell the switch as an upgrade.

Dudy Noble has fake dirt around home plate, and it's shining in the sun today. Dirt shouldn't give off a glare.

And we really like Foley Field. Not a bad seat in the house and the surrounding land is beautiful.

Over right field there is a hill with some nice homes.

it's a very pretty softball field. It isn't close to big enough (fences) to be a legitimate baseball field.

Was watching wake forest earlier and they have huge patches at first and the batters boxes because they get all torn up. I'm talking patches that stick up and would easily twist an ankle or catch a spike. It's so bad that 1st base is sloped towards foul ground
