Hats off to Aggie baseball fans for going out today. I went to the Oral Roberts @ Arizona State game tonight. It was 80 degrees and sunny here today and there couldn't have been over 1,500 people there

In fairness it was at the same time as the ASU hockey game tonight (top 15 match up) and had I had tickets to that I would have been there.

4922 in the box score. I don't know if that many people were there but what I saw on TV was impressive nonetheless.

Big 12 RPI must be taking a massive hit without OU and Texas so he may feel he needs to.

I tuned in for the last couple of innings of the tu/Dartmouth game. There had to be no more than 150-200 people in the stands. Very, very sparse. I wonder if Schlongdongle will question their loyalty like he did ours.

If Nebraska makes the CWS I wonder how that would affect ticket availability? I got tickets for game one of the finals last year and was able to stay with an old friend of mine, an NU alum who lives in Lincoln, and it was only about a 45 minute drive to the ball park. Their fans have been famous for following their football program and I would imagine they're pretty hungry for some kind of success.

They pack the place for sure. Did back during the Alex Gordon days.

But if they're in the finals the crowd will be mitigated by the weather. If hell has frozen over I assume it'll be pretty chilly in Omaha as well.

Maybe. I do think it would affect the secondary market. Locals hold tons of the CWS season tickets so I could see fewer choosing to resell. They're of course mostly Husker fans but not exclusively..

Them and LSU fans are the big groups that show up in large numbers every year regardless of who is playing. Oh, and nearly everyone there hates tu.

Won't matter. NU won't be in the CWS in the foreseeable future.

Do you think college baseball has become that predictable? Is it because of NIL? Will we never see another Fresno St or East Carolina again?

it is strange to look back...

Nebraska, Rice, Baylor, even Houston...their glory years or glory eras heavily overlapped

from about the late 90's to the mid-to-late 00's

but the past 15 years have been a struggle

Every year an unexpected team or two make it as far as the Supers so these teams are only a good weekend (or a poor one by the favored team) from Omaha. Keep in mind the Fightin' Bobs made it to the CWS only two seasons ago.

Nebraska's baseball program took a hit when they left for the Big 10 but seems to be making a bit of a resurgence. They won 40 games last year and made a regional and they're top 25 this year with a win against Vanderbilt. I think the odds of them going to Omaha this season aren't great but if they do it won't be that big of a surprise.

The BIG will send a team to the CWS every few years, I think Michigan made it not too long ago.

Michigan made it to the Championship series. Their reward, losing their coach to Clemson. I'm hoping that Oregon, USC and USC might breath life into B1G baseball but have a feeling it is only going to hurt the old PAC 12 schools.

I wouldn't count them 100% out. They likely win the Big 10 conference. Also with Rob as pitching coach they be in the Top 10 nationally in ERA.

Speaking of Omaha, Omaha just scored 5 runs in the 7th to take a 5-0 lead over LSU. The Tigers are having a worse day at the plate than the Aggies.

Lamar up 19-0 on U Albany in the middle of the 6th inning. Their school record for runs in a game is 27.

But less than 11 per inning so I'm thinking mostly low stress pitches.

Nebraska will not get out of a regional this year. ORU made it to Omaha two years ago on the backs of a couple of stud pitchers.
