These are obviously the kinds of things that lead to losses and being in the first inning tonight when trying to get the taste of 2 bad losses in a row out of our mouth really set a tone.

Quote:

Texas A&M - Bottom of 1st

KENT singled to pitcher (1-2 KFBFF).
LaVIOLETTE walked (3-2 BKSBBB); KENT advanced to second.
LaVIOLETTE advanced to second on a passed ball; KENT advanced to third on a passed ball.
HENSELER walked (3-1 BBBKB).
SCHOTT struck out looking (0-2 KSK).
BINDERUP struck out looking (2-2 SKBBK).
KASH struck out swinging (2-2 BKBFS)

Question why does the middle of our order (4, 5, 6) look like this 3 weeks into the season.

Schott (.194 batting average)
Binderup (.192 batting average)
Kash (.148 batting average)

I think this is the last time you see those 3 bat in the meat of the order for the foreseeable future.

The first inning was obviously the most egregious example but they killed us several times tonight.

Kent, Jace, and Hensler combined to get on base 7-8 times tonight and it wouldn't even matter because there were 3 black holes behind them.

I actually though Farr, Galloway and Kiel had decent ABs for the most part. Flip those 6 and we win fairly easily IMO.

I would bet 2/3 of Schott, Binderup, and Kash aren't playing tomorrow though. Need to give Bergervin a look.

this is why folks are questioning Earley

Sunday vs. Cal-Poly should have been the last time those three hit 4-5-6

What I really hate is the feeling of certainty I had that they wouldn't be able to score a single run in that situation. This is the most hilariously incompetent baseball team I've seen in a looong time. There's only a handful of pitchers that should be able to keep this lineup scoreless through 5 innings, but they haven't faced anyone close to that yet.

In a sea of batters that are looking bad right now, these 3 (Bindy, Kash and Schott) by far look the most lost. Earley needs to start doing something, show some sign of life, and STOP putting any of these 3 in the heart of order (or in the order at all).

The irony. This coach that was something of a "hitting guru" when he was an assistant now appears to be incapable of assessing who and where his best hitters are and should be.

Binderup- good high school hitter with pretty good power. Has proven he's not going to hit at this level
Schott- looks like a 25 year old former college player that's crippled
Kash- this one is the mystery. He has by far the best credentials of the 3. Is he just a head case?

Binderup looks too passive

Schoot looks too aggressive

Kash can't make up his mind
