First, can someone please start taking the approach to hit the ball the other way? Farr had a triple and it was refreshing to see someone drive the ball. Need a lot of changes tomorrow:

1. Kent - SS
2. Henesler - 3B
3. Laviolette - CF
4. Binderup - 1B
5. Kash - LF
6. Farr - 2B
7. Bergevin - DH
8. Catcher
9. Kiel - RF

Why would Binderup and Kash move up to the 4 and 5 spots?

Some days off are needed to get their stuff together. And maybe in the meantime someone else that gets on the field will play well enough that they don't come off the field again.

Still not sold on Binderup at 1st. Part of me would love to see Kash move back to his natural position at 1B, put Kiel in LF when Sorrell is back in RF, and possibly consider putting Jamal out in LF in the meantime to preserve defense and give him a chance to break the lineup.

Gotta break up the cold bats and would love to see Jamal get a couple more starts.

I will be shocked it Schott is benched.

Kash & Bindy need to take a day or 2 off. George & Bergy need ABs, but man George scares me in the OF. He looks lost in the OF, he's 2 for 2 at getting turned around out there.

You absolutely cannot put Jamal back out in the outfield to get him at bats after what you have seen him do out there. He is totally lost. Try him at second or third if you think his bat is that good or may be that good. My understanding is he is more a natural infielder.

You lost me with 4 and 5. There is exactly 0 reason to believe those two should be in the lineup tonight.

I like this....especially 1-4. I'm curious if he will move Jace out of the two hole.

Not sure if Earley will do it, but I'd move Jace out of the 2. Need to shake things up and see what happens. Bindy, Kash and Schott need to sit and watch a game or two.

Agreed. I started that post about our players looking like they are beinf taught ONLY to swing for the fences with their bat trajectories. Been a terrible approach so far. I am fearful they have been taught the entire off season and all summer ball to swing in this manner. It is a very risky way to approach batting.

Look at the TN team in what 2021 or 2022? They looked unstoppable. Then lost early in the playoffs which was one of the worse upsets in D1 baseball. They put all their eggs in cranking out HRs....

And we are starting that way....but already in a hitting slump. Jace looks like he needs another year of play at this point which is WILD.

It is maddening for me as a Select coach. Put the damn ball in play! Put the damn ball on the ground or hit as solid liners. Quick with all the freaking launch angles!!

You do not need a 108 exit velo to get on base and win ballgames.

Not defending Binderup, but the last ball he hit was a robbed home run. I absolutely love Farr, but I think the worst thing you can do is rush him too far up in the line up too fast. Jace needs the most protection available regardless of how good or bad he's currently looking so I'm thinking that has to be Hensler behind him.

As bad as nearly the entire team looks at the plate, the most atrocious are Kash and Schott. And we are talking about a Big 12 Player of the Year and a guy who hit .330+ in the SEC. If one or both of those guys (plus the number one projected MLB pick) doesn't get it going soon, we might just be rearranging chairs on the deck of the Titanic.
