What is the fastest a preseason #1 dropped out of the top 25?

Idk, but this Aggie team does not deserved to be ranked until they prove otherwise. They look lost!
No matter how fast it certainly did not match the speed in which some Aggie fans went into full woe is us mode.

jk - I'm normally on your side, but are you watching the same games we are? Yea, we can get this turned around (I hope…), but other than our weekend rotation, there is nothing to like about this team.

Where we're ranked is the last thing that matters right now. And that's the attitude the team should have.

While it is hard to watch, it can also be turned around. I didn't like the #1 ranking b/c of the pressure that comes with it. When it comes around, the doom and gloom will quickly be forgotten my those Ags.
I think I've made it fairly clear in my posts mostly on the game threads that how the Aggies have played over the past week has been more than dreadful but I still stand by my post. For too many Ags the good is never good enough to enjoy and nothing is so bad that they won't come up with some angle to make it hurt that much more. I'm sorry I just don't understand that way of thinking. Never have, hopefully I never will.

He didn't say we were the fastest to ever do it. He was saying we were pre-season #1 in one of the polls and in that particular year it took us 8 weeks to fall out. I'm pretty sure a pre-season #1 from about 5 or 6 years ago had a collapse similar to what we're seeing this year. Of course I can't remember any details, but I seem to recall it happening semi-recently.
If we win tonight, I suspect D1 Baseball will keep us at about #24 or #25. If we lose tonight, we will fall all the way out of the poll and be in danger of not returning again this season.
