He's a ballplayer. His biggest asset at the plate is putting the ball into play and letting his speed get him hits when down in the count.
I truly believe if we had more players with his hitting mentality that we would be drastically improved this season. Relying on HRs is this team's biggest issue and weakness.

In honor of Dave, someone needs to say it:

Baltimore chop

I missed this earlier but I said it to his DIL and she laughed

The other part that's funny about this is that we just found out, ya know, like many moments after the fact.

(I will always love Dave)

He's the best. So many good memories listening to him on the call.

His son and DIL sit next to us. Max and his son talk baseball all game long. They are often watching our game plus another on R's phone. And keeping up with BOTH!

PV looked horrible, but I liked some of the stuff we did! Hoping we can win our first SEC series.

Still write "big fly" for homers in his honor. He never got a farewell baseball broadcast because of COVID ending the 2020 season. I'd like it if he came back for one, even if it was one inning.

How long after we walked by did they start coming out?

We got home about 9:45 I think.

Probably another 30 minutes. We didn't leave until 9:30 but we got home about the same time you did.

This response shoulda come with the tongue out emoji.

The 1.5 hour drive is much better after giving someone a schlacking.

Absolutely. Or at the least, honor him at Olsen so we can all stand and applaud. Get him to throw the first pitch? Give him a nice gift? I'd like that.
