Last night was our best chance at avoiding the sweep.

It's gonna e a long season boys.

We are going to have an advantage every Sunday with Patton vs whoever, and that's definitely the case vs Bama's Sunday starter who has a 5+ ERA.

I suspect we're more likely to look back and think of last night's game as a missed chance to get the rare SEC sweep.
If patton and Lamkin keep throwing "well" I'd actually be curious if we consider moving Prager out of Friday night, especially if the other team has an ace. If you need wins no reason to waste him. Throw him against a lesser arm. Schloss did this some a few years ago

Name one closer in MLB that doesn't throw 97. Velocity erases mistakes. MLB teams are going to ride or die on stuff in the late innings. Strikes or not.

Please tell me how Rudis remotely resembles that guy.

Kaeden Wilson has the arm and has shown signs of being the guy last year. He has only pitched 3.2 inn this year. A third of a game and we're making decisions on him. I think Bergevin has more ABs than Wilson has batters faced.

LJ is the only guy who has shown consistency in the last few weeks.

It doesn't matter who we put out there as the starter. What matters is when you get into our relief. This has been proven all year so far. This is where we are losing games….that coupled with the fact we cannot find runs against decent teams. The sub-.500 teams we have pretty ouch no problem with.

Aschenbeck doesn't fit the typical mold either.

Asch had stuff despite velocity. He is the rare exception. Also his 392nd draft pick should tell you what the next level thinks about him.

Rudis has been susceptible to HRs forever. Terrible choice and so obviously so that he even gave up back-to-back HRs for good measure. Lol

I like watching baseball. I'm fairly new to it. No matter what happens, you say "that's baseball" and it's all good.

My problem with the move last night is that the justification was analytics. I don't know what's happening behind the scenes, but the public impression I'm getting from this version of Aggie baseball is that we are way too focused on stats.

Did coach tell you it was analytics? That's some inside connections!
Seems like you didn't listen to his postgame press conference.

Did you listen to it? Zane mentioned analytics but coach talked about matchups.

Bad decisions happen. When they are consistently bad, changes must be made.

Well OP was definitely right about yesterday not being the last time we blow a game in the 9th. Didn't think it would be the very next game though

Well, that's baseball....sounds familiar

Doing less with more is the most time honored tradition of all Aggie traditions.
