I just think you fire Longley (sp?). We need a new hitting coach. At least that should be the first step. Fire or reassign Longley now. Texas did not hit well last year with him. Are we getting weaker? I thought Jace's drive in top 9 was gone off the bat.

That's what most people are forgetting. College baseball is a niche and mostly regional sport. It doesn't make money.

That's why it was so strange to me that tu went through all those hoops, spent all that money, and their AD humiliated himself by literally hiding out in a cemetery to try to hire a coach away.... For a small sport that doesn't make money.

It's their niche in their region. That is why they care so much to do that. It is our niche and in our region as well which is why we care (although maybe not as much as them or lsu).

Look across the SEC, college baseball is growing every year and schools are investing. tu has one of the most storied programs in the sport and they were falling behind (and money isn't really an issue for them), it doesn't surprise me at all.

I think depending on the part of the country baseball or WBB tends to be that third sport that most schools care about. Baseball here is probably on part with MBB in terms of popularity (if not more so), even if the money is not the same.

I don't think he is safe at all though if he fails to make a regional. That would be spectacular flame out. He really was an interim hire given all the stuff working against us. I hope he turns around and makes a regional but this is not a good team, and a lot of it is the HC is not ready to be a HC.

I honestly, think if sheetnagle makes the CWS at tu and we miss a regional, the pressure is going to be immense to can him.

I can deal with bad baseball. I don't like it and it does not make me happy. I cannot deal with toxicity. The season so far is nothing but toxicity. I just all around feel bad
