Maybe we've found the culprit for the poor start? We never had an invocation at baseball games until this year.
They've been doing it at football for years now, but with someone else (not the PA guy) reading it. At first, I thought it was a special "Opening Day" invocation. Which, OK, fine. Then they kept doing it. Then I went to a basketball game for the first time this season, and they did it there, too! It might be something that's been incorporated into all the sports; I don't know. I'm not really in favor of it.

I just think it's unnecessary. We haven't needed it in the past.
I don't think it's necessary at football or other sports either.
Saw him for the first time on Sunday. We were hoping he had entered puberty and had discovered hanging around girls was much better than irritating olds. It's a long season so we can still hope.Ghost of Bisbee said:
