Depressing interview.
I wish I could find the interview, but he definitely said he didn't even want to be a HC at this point in his career AFTER he accepted the HC position at Texas A&M. I think he felt obligated when the offer was made but he still wanted to have a position on a staff for a couple more years before making the leap.

Coach is in a tough spot. Little kids are running around Blue Bell wearing NIL shirts with the names of players who were stars last year but are not even batting .280 this year. In fact, we might be a more cohesive team next year when two or three of them move along. Way, way, way too much NIL money was given to a few guys who haven't really done squat this year. If I had to be interviewed postgame four times a week and I was trying to be available but also couldn't throw a few of the doofuses who play for me under the bus, I might look and sound like Mike Earley right now. Outside of our starting pitchers, our two best players are a true freshman and an Ivy League transfer above anybody we returned from the Omaha team of last year.
The first thing that needs to be done is to put some curl in that brim. I kid…..I kid. Just trying to keep it simple.
Step aside coach. It was worth a shot.

Holy **** that's devastating. That's a HC (and team) caught in their feels. **** needs to change immediately. ****ing ride their asses Earley. Do you WANT this job or not?

He's out of place, lost and doesn't know how to lead. He needs to go ASAP. This isn't a learning program for head coaches

He was previously. Caleb Longley is our current hitting coach.
Getting swept at home is hard to take. Not sure any coach would give a great interview at this point. **** Schloss. I hope he gets an STD.

There are two major points or questions:
Often younger coaches still talk to their former bosses for guidance. After listening to Vitello, my guess is that snake is not an option for any coach mentorship. So, where can Earley turn for mentorship early in his career?
I know players are off limits for post-game interviews, but maybe they should be a part of this. Allow them to take on leadership and ownership.

It's like he knew the losses would pile up and players are banned from talking after about the loss

The players are not off limits for post game interviews
It's not what he said directly about him, it's who he talked about as influential people and coaches, even while on his staff, and who he didn't talk about.
Well folks, it is what it is.
The best thing that we can do is support the man, and his fellow coaches. That is what I would want if I were in his shoes.
