How long do you want to ignore this user?
But
Lineup has to change starting tomorrow,
Kiel must lead off, drop Jace to 7th(get him mad)
Wyatt
Kash
Royo
Schott
Jace
Farr
Galloway George Bear at C
If Farr stays in the lineup move him to 3rd or short his defense cost us Saturdays game as he really had two errors, 4 on the weekend and almost butchered a Taylor made 6-4-3 dp or switch him with Kent.
As bad as our bats are we can't give runs away.
Our pitching has been very good and as bad as we are hitting any walk or error is magnified,
We are close and with our pitching we are gonna be in every game.
Call me a sunshine pumper but I know baseball give me great pitching any day over big bats.
Lastly why did we allow Max Kaufer to leave I know he hasn't played that much at USCe, but he was here and knows the pitchers and way better defensive catcher than what we have now.

Kent stayed because he was promised short, so I can't see him moving from there.

Ok then let's switch him Wyatt.

If Farr's defense is an issue why would you want to move him to 3rd or short?

That's where he's always played on that side of the infield. I'm just throwing out ideas I love the kid and he's getting better the plate but Wyatt was already at second before GG got hurt. Plus less chances at 3rd.

I hope you're wrong but with this pitching we will be in games. You can't argue that fact.

We need to open the NIL bank to get this kid.

I don't want Farr at third. We need someone who can reliably throw from third to first and I don't think he's it.

I am all for giving coaches time, but Earley inherited one of the most experienced and talented rosters in the NCAA.

It looks like they have already quit on him.

Well I'm thinking out loud but he killed us this weekend at 2b. If we try it out it's tomorrow.
I just want someone to step up if it's a freshman that's fine if it's a 5th yr sr I don't care we need a leader.

He did and didn't he inherited a team with 4 holdovers who were full timers and one is out for the year and another hasn't played.
That leaves Jace and Kent along with an injured Schott
That's 3 and 6 newcomers.
Added Henseler he will be fine.
We had 3 true freshmen starting yesterday.
We lost our catcher and 2b who's now at short.
Catcher gone biggest loss of all. Whoever let Kaufer leave should be fired.

This current available roster isn't that talented. Middle of pack in SEC at best

I don't know. When you're in the kind of slump that Jason is in right now, maybe there is an argument that its best not to be certain to come to the plate in the first inning. Probably not the right answer (if you are in a slump, you probably want to be surrounded by the best hitters so you see pitches to hit) but at this point, I'm not going to ridicule a suggestion like this.

Checked on our former second baseman Travis Chestnut and he's hitting .336 with 6 bombs for St. Edwards. If we could have gotten him another year of eligibility he would be starting and hitting in the four hole for us.

Careful, I was ostracized for suggesting we weren't as talented b/c of the injuries this weekend.

A middle of the pack SEC team doesn't get swept at home by Bama. Definitely takes 1 of 3, and probably wins the series--and that's not to slight Bama, as road series wins are supposed to be tough in the SEC.

This is why I'm ok with giving Earley a year or two to get it going.

You don't move your best player to the bottom of the lineup just to motivate him. You must not watch a lot of baseball

I said at best. It's also why I said we still shouldn't look this baf. We aren't that talented right now, but we shouldn't be getting swept at home either

Lets see how Bama does going forward. That lineup is scary good like ours last year probably better top to bottom. If you think that is a middle of the road team you dont know baseball. Shortstop wasnt even that great this weekend 7-9 did the damage.
Kade Snell had a great series from the 7 hole two HR's 4 rbi's 3 bb's and 4 runs while going 4-9.

Lebron had one game and one of those wasnt a hit. He had two hits he didnt beat us the bottom of the order is what beat us.

Played and coached enough to know that when coach moved Ali to the 7hole last year our offense took off. Go look it up the 7 hole was ofer SEC until the 6 game I believe until Ali got it going.

This by no means is permanent but to motivate him.

You're comparing Ali to Jace? Wildly different scenarios there bud. Move Jace around between 2, 3, and 4…but he's not moving to 7 I promise you

Did I say that no just saying when we moved him to the 7 hole our offense took off. Nothing more but fine leave him up at 2 he is not a 2 hitter he needs to get some confidence and hitting in the second inning may help or it may motivate him every bad ab he has his draft value is dropping.

You tell me why he shouldnt bat there tomorrow?

This lineup is all wrong at the present and I am still waiting for Royo to get a shot he got one ab and lined a single up the middle.

You are back seat driving if you got a better suggestion then please let us all know. Its our team and I am going to support them but I know baseball we just need a little spark our pitching is great.

My point was that Ali wasn't a good enough player to be anywhere near the top of the lineup on last years team…he moved to the 7 hole because that's where he should be. I'm all for changing things up, but I can't recall ever seeing the best hitter at any level dropping to the bottom of the order just to "piss him off and motivate him"

Right now he isnt one of our top hitters so lets change it up if only for a game. Im still waiting for you to suggest something maybe move him to five.

I said move him around between 2, 3, and 4….5 is fine I guess. 7 just seems like a stretch

Regardless of his current hitting woes, he is your best player and that's not arguable. I've never seen the best player on any team hit 7-9, it just doesn't happen

Bama has a stout lineup, but pitching is their Achilles heel. We made them look like world beaters.

This A&M team, even without Grahovac and Sorrell, is too talented to get swept at home by a good, but probably not great, Bama team.

I'm not saying this is an untalented team, even with injuries. With our starting pitching, we should be competitive even without Grahovac, Sorrell, and Stewart. If we ever start hitting the ball, this will look like a completely different team, but we are running out of time for that to matter.
