Anyone else hoping to see Bear and Royo in the lineup tonight?

Galloway has been great behind the dish, but I want to see if Bear can help this offense against better competition.

I want to see more at bats from Royo too. I think he wrote his name into the lineup (at least for now) with his defensive showing on Tuesday.

I'm fine with giving Bear and Ben a chance tonight, but I still want Farr in the lineup, possibly at DH or in the outfield. I firmly believe his defense will settle down soon; he far too talented of a fielder and I think his errors have just been mental so far.

I would flip Farr and Henseler in the field.

I wonder what the plan is for the outfield. Erickson? Take a chance and put Farr out there?

So you think Farr is going to field better at a position where the ball gets on him even quicker? bold take.

Yes, I think he will be better at a position he grew up playing than a new position.

Would be interesting to see what Bear does if we give him a few games in a row in the lineup. His sample prior to Tuesday was not very good at all. Would love to see someone lock down that catcher spot and be a solid contributor at the plate.

Royo certainly deserves the start in place of Farr. Farr has more than ample opportunity and has shown no sign of defense improving yet.

Every high school highlight I've seen of Farr he was playing SS not 3B. He's also listed as a middle infielder on every prep baseball site I've found.

Why are people saying Farr is a great fielder? He's got to be leading this team in errors by a mile. He's playing college ball now and clearly is taking some time to adjust to it.

Someone wants to put Farr at 3rd where Hensler has a ton of experience and has a stronger arm... it's so funny how bad some of these ideas are.

Somewhat of a different topic but brings to mind something I've wondered about...SO many of the high school fields I go to now and tournament fields (probably 90% of the fields within 30 minutes) are turf now. Olsen is a tremendous surface but no matter how perfect of natural surface you have there's differences than turf. The ball just moves differently across the two. It can be a big adjustment. Not saying this has been the issue with Farr's fielding but just something I've wondered about more and more as I keep seeing so many HS fields go turf.

I know he is a Frosh but this weekend is the first artificial turf field he will have played upon in his entire college career. One would think he would have taken enough reps this fall and spring that this should not be an issue.

I think that's what it sounded like in Earley's segment on TexAgs this morning.

Yeah I agree, that's why I said somewhat different topic and that I wasn't saying this is Farr's issue.

Lots of tournament fields are turf, but I would think many high schools are not (I know some are moving that way).

In my area 90+% of the HS's are turf.

They earned their shot tonight but maybe have Farr DH for shot. I still wish TK would lead off that is where he belongs.

Bear and Ben. That reminds of the classic tv show from the 60s Gentle Ben

To say Bear and Ben had a let down at the plate last night is an understatement. At some point all these guys need to get over feeling pressured. They all look terrified at the plate. Get over it, nothing to lose at this point.

May as well. The season is teetering on being lost. This baseball season is becoming the all time example of BAS.
