If you've played baseball you know that decision is made by yiu, ball is in front of you. You're not looking at the first base coach to send you. At most he could do is scream bloody murder to stop hoping you listen but that's a runners discretion decision. Not much different than going 1st to 3rd if it's infront of you, you're only looking at 3rd base coach if it's behind you.

Binderup wasn't even on the screen when the 2nd baseman got the ball. The only reason the play appeared close at all is because the second baseman was surprised there was actually a runner there.

after 22 games:

2000 ---> 11 wins
2025 ---> 11 wins

the squads are even right now...but the '00 team will rack up 5 wins vs. Iowa State and Kansas in the last week of March

I agree but there's just a 0.0% chance he tried to take that base bc the 1st base coach told him to do so. Just a guy who should be timed with a sun dial trying to be a hero with his legs. We are just trying to find new ways to impressively collapse.

The only thing I can think of is Bindy thought the throw was going to the cutoff. I don't see where RJ deked him or anything, so I think it's just a really bad decision.

Besides for the bonehead running, I'm pretty impressed that we have at least one extra guy that can get his bat on a pitched ball pretty squarely. One of our only hard hit balls all night!

I stated on yesterday's thread that this season is reminding me a lot of the 2000 season. That year we also found ways to lose close games rather than finding a way to grind out Ws.

I agree and that's disagreeing with what I'm getting at. It was a decision Binderup made. Kid at this point has made more mistakes than good plays and needs to be given a clipboard to hold.

OK. I haven't been following the whole thread so I viewed your post in isolation. Not looking for an argument. I'm always pulling for all our guys, including him. I do have serious doubts about whether he has the ability to play SEC baseball. Hope I'm wrong.
