Another rocket by DeeDee, this time not right at a defender. She's 2 of 3 tonight and all hit really hard. She was an awesome hitter in HS, really looking forward to seeing more of her.

Dang, KK flies out for the 3rd out of the inning. Going to top of 5 Aggies 10 and Sam 0.

Six Aggie starters with two hits. Only starter not to get a hit was KK but she has an RBI so that's cool. And six doubles PLUS the grand slam by Mya.

Solid game by Leavitt in the circle and the Aggies got a lot of players in.

Oh, final score 10-0 in five innings. 3 runs in the first and then 7 in the second.

"Maybe a different look in the outfield, at least for a few innings with some AB's? Scout, Kelsey, Hailey? They have PR'ed a LOT but few AB's. DeeDee behind the plate with several AB's?"

Its great night when it goes like it should. Happy to see the players who don't get much PT have a chance to play.

Boozer is right. Checking "Mean Green" record shows they are more competitive and will be a tougher nut to crack. Girls need to be ready for a fight: we are more talented and playing at home, but upsets obviously occur when teams are not ready, take an qualityh opponent too lightly, or don't play well.

I often tend to write overly long posts but not during games. Just observations, stats and basic comments. And most are used to my frequent comments on our freshmen !!

Anyone know why Hefley wasn't coaching last night? I couldn't go and was watching without sound and didn't know if it was mentioned.

It was really great that so many players got in the game. We have been needing that. Tonight might be different. And the weekend series vs LMU. Never can tell.

Allie got the 2 RBI double and Kramer had a hit. Was really happy about those. Allie in more of a slump than Kramer but both really needed hits. DeeDee 2 of 3, all hard hit balls. I have pushed her more than others. She's 6'3" and not the fastest but boy can she hit the ball hard. Hailey Golden's catch in the corner - groovy! And Griffin's snag of that really hard hit rocket that probably would have been a double down the line - good for her! That was just instinct reaction, no thinking.

I think Leavitt's last outing was also pretty darn good. She's a senior with a lot of experience and sure is nice to have her doing so well because we will need her the rest of the year.

Oh yea, who was our first base coach? Was it Halley Harger, recruiting coordinator? She's in the dugout every game. Was Heffley not there because of being a wee bit outspoken to the ump the previous game? Must have missed something.

North Texas has an accomplished coaching staff and the team has some big wins this year. Should be a good game.

I think your suggestion that he was s little too vocal with the umpire against Alabama might be the answer although I never heard anything mentioned.

Love DeeDee behind the plate, but very thankful that we have a veteran transfer like Ojo. Ojo needs to be more confident at the plate, she has a great awareness of the strike zone and can hit with power. However she hasn't done that consistently.
DeeDee is definitely the future and man what a future to look forward to.

Glad to know our state officials are working hard to help those who really need help. NIL will lead to the ruination of NCAA sports.
