He is struggling to hit his spots, but there were flashes tonight especially from the 5th on.
It's still not good enough, but I think better.
It has dipped to 86-89 instead of 90-92 consistently living at 91. When he comes back with the high fastball after the change up and offspeed last year and earlier this season he'd get it by the hitters. Now its getting fouled off and the hitters is able to work the count to get the pitch they can handle by being able to foul off the high fb.
Just my thoughts but the kid battled his ass off last night and almost got through 6 but personally I wouldve pulled him after 5 up 2.
