So t.u. got a favorable schedule in baseball just like they did in football. Outside of Arky all of their tough series are at home (LSU, Georgia, (A&M and Florida if we were living up to expectations)) Road series Missouri, Kentucky, and MSU.

It will cost Texas in the end as evidenced by other conferences who play weaker schedules always choking out in the CWS.

Maybe, but they're still predicted to have a top ~30 SOS, one spot above the real UT.
Half the SEC is predicted in the top 10, the rest are top 30 except for State which is 39.

LSU pitcher Anderson at 12 Ks through 6 innings. Though that last one sure looked like a HR to me. Ruled foul, k's on next pitch. Would have tied the game.

100% he was different. But it wasn't all that uncommon back then; totally depends on what kind of pitch mix you throw. Today's focus on max spin is very effective but seems to be tearing up elbows and shoulders.
