Surprised that game didn't hurt the Vaqueros' RPI more. They actually moved up 2 to 22. Owls are sitting at 198.

50 years ago Catfish Hunter led MLB with 30 complete games. Last year the leader had 2. I've got a long time friend that was a MLB All-star pitcher that says pitch counts that are arbitrary and select ball are the reason pitchers are so often hurt.
What's magic about 100?

Yes, I keep getting strange error messages
The point is pitch count is an incomplete metric at best, and probably a poor metric too. The pitch volume is way down yet the injuries are up. For 50+ years, starters in the MLB routinely threw more than 300 innings in a season, and now no one reaches even 200. Why?dermdoc said:Ask anyone who pitched for Gus at sip.jja79 said:dermdoc said:

I will say at least two were unavoidable to the helmet.RED AG 98 said:
FOURTH HBP of a UK batter. We're in the 3rd inning. This time with the bases loaded. I really dislike this bush league approach from Mingione.
Maybe so. But logic would say if you are throwing more pitches with more spin and velocity that injuries would increase.RED AG 98 said:The point is pitch count is an incomplete metric at best, and probably a poor metric too. I am not a doctor, but it seems the prevailing wisdom is that the change to max effort pitch style (focusing o max velo and spin rate) are the drivers for the huge spike in injury.

So t.u. got a favorable schedule in baseball just like they did in football. Outside of Arky all of their tough series are at home (LSU, Georgia, (A&M and Florida if we were living up to expectations)) Road series Missouri, Kentucky, and MSU.

all right, the Ags are on the road at #1 Tennessee
is this mission impossible?
to win the series and / or win one game?
A&M's last series win vs. Tennessee -- home or away -- was in 2017 at Blue Bell
Tony V. really flipped the series
A&M begins the weekend at RPI 110
