Man, LSU is lethal. Great lineup, all above .300, lots of power, elite pitching, intellegent coaching, reminds me of A&M last year.

OU has some elite Friday pitching. Their park is an embarrasment to the SEC.

Both teams had a total rebuild after last year's losses. I think Early may get another year, but can he rebuild an elite roster?

Lots of LSU fans in premium seats. Texags would explode.

I would not hire Skip. But that is me.

I am sitting here watching the game and cannot believe how small OU's stadium is! The field looks sweet, but for a historically decent program it looks like like maybe 2500 to 3k seats tops.

Good call. Built in 1982 and current capacity is 3,180 according to wiki.

Why do we have so many fans that beat their chest about the size of stadiums?
We fall short in expectations in pretty much all sports so we have to resort to gloating that our stadiums capacity is more? Really? I don't get it

There is nothing wrong with OU stadium. Yes it's a little smaller buts it's a nice facility

So what are you saying about Texas? Just asking for a friend.

When I lived in Oklahoma, I was shocked that many of their male sports loving alumni did not know that they had won a College World Series. I found that OU fans only care about 2 sports, Football and Spring Football.

Personally know him from a few years ago. Great pitching coach and I am on the fence on head coach - we could do worse again.

Two of them, one in '51 and another in '94. Long enough ago though that anyone in school then is now age 50-dead. Given their football success it's not that shocking they don't venerate their baseball success.

OU baseball averaged a horrific 816 peeps in 2022. They have a softball program that's on a Saban/Bama type run that quintuples that attendance which is pretty fun.

. . . You get the picture. Of the top nine programs in attendance, seven were from the SEC. The only outliers were Texas (6,797) and OSU (5,499).

OU's average attendance: 816, for 23 games at Mitchell Park. The Sooners moved their Texas series to Arlington, and those games would have provided a good gate, but that's sort of the point. The Sooners moved their Texas series to Arlington. . . .

. . . Oklahoma earned its NCAA-record fourth-straight national championship last season, going 59-7 (.894) with a 22-5 record in Big 12 play. OU opened Love's Field to a record season attendance of 108,156 (4,326 average) and enjoyed a perfect 5-0 postseason at its new home. . . .

I'd say kudos to OU for being progressive, but mainly fans love winners. Tech had a run where Sharp routinely outdrew the men. Nebraska put 90k+ fans in Memorial stadium for a volleyball match because Cook in this century was as successful as Osborne in the last.

How's Earley recruiting? I actually don't know, but saw a top ten a couple wks ago loaded w SEC teams (tu was top 3) and we weren't on that list.

If he can't recruit top pitchers and hitters, he won't last past yr 2 as won't be able to compete.

Also saw an article where tu's pitching coach is considered top in ncaa in development and on a fast track to be a head coach. Good ole arse Max who laughed as he left, but maybe was the better asst coach to hire (note, he didn't want to be here as a schloss bottom buddy all the way).

Haha, people are complaining about hiring a head coach with no head coaching experience. What would they say about hiring a head coach with one year of experience in college baseball???

TexAgs really astounds me sometimes.
