I think we go 7-2. Losses to ark and LSU. Sweep Texas.
7-2 gets Earley a 15 year extension.

You don't think we'll win any games against LSU at home? I can't see us that.
Got a little extra emotion going on this year, I think.W said:
historically the Ags are really, really terrible in Austin
Disch-Falk field opened in 1975
A&M has only won 1 series there in 1978
(and a pseudo-series in 1999)

During the SWC, didn't we play them 2 at Disch, 1 at Olsen then flip that the next season every 2 years? So at least until 96 we didn't play 3 game series there?
The series started to be split in 1993. In '91, the Ags swept t.u. at Olsen. In '92 Arkansas was gone, so the league played a 36 game conference schedule with 6 games against each team (t.u. won both series 2-1 that season). In '93, A&M, Baylor, and t.u. agreed to split the series, and it went back to an 18 game conference schedule. In '94, A&M went 6-12 and didn't make the SWC tournament. Realizing that 18 games wasn't enough, the league went to 4 game conference series in '95. Those were fun, but this was the beginning of gorilla ball, and you can imagine what the scores looked like when you played 4 games in 3 days with Johnny Fullstaff pitching half of the series. In 1996, the split series continued as did the 4 game series. However, in both 1995 and 1996, the league alleviated some of the stress on the 4 game series by holding a 3 game tournament in Houston. Both seasons, A&M, t.u., and Baylor played one of their games in this tourney, so the split series could be 2-1 during the regular conference schedule. The split series continued after the Big 12 started in 1997.tjack16 said:NE PA Ag said:W said:

We did that until we joined the SEC. Growing up in CS it was always so much fun to go to the Friday night game at Olsen and then follow along radio for Saturday/Sunday and vice versa
Just tell Arky it is a Regional and we win easily.HoustonAg2106 said:
Historically we are terrible at Arkansas and they are a beast this year, 1-2 is a win there.
The series in Austin is a wild card because of the storylines that are obviously going to be at play…I think our boys are up to the task against their former coach that left them and go 2-1
The LSU series since we have joined the SEC has not seen a sweep by either team, I'll say 1-2
Possibly flip the record in Austin and at home against LSU so either way I'll say 4-5.
10-14 going into the last two series against Mizzou and Georgia needing 3 total wins to get to 13 which most believe gets you in, especially with a win or two in the conference tourney

Arky result will define how we finish the season. If we go 2-1 (what I believe we will do) then the momentum is huge and we win one of the two remaining series (both is possible). If we go 1-2 vs pig then I don't see us going .500 for the balance of the season. Not that the team gives up, but if we are out of the picture we may start playing for next season rather than for wins.
It's cliche, but it is so for a reason. One game at a time. One series at a time.CapCityAg89 said:StinkyPinky said:

1-2 v Arkie isn't even close to out of the picture.
If we go less than .500 over the next three series then we are. Just commenting on the potential impact to our new found momentum found momentum which may be at its most vulnerable.CapCityAg89 said:StinkyPinky said:

LSU
Anything better than 4 wins would be great!
If the o/u were 3.5 what are you picking?
