Rudis gave us three innings of of no run ball on Saturday in what essentially started out as mop up duty. While it wasn't picture perfect, he did have five K's in those three innings of work. Maybe a little confidence builder for him?

As good as last year's team was you could have said this about them, with the exceptions of Asch and Cortez (two pretty big exceptions I know).
The Aggies lost the finals of the CWS last year because sch****** didn't trust anyone besides Asch with a four run lead in the 7th inning of game one.

Hits will happen for any good pitcher. True measure is how much you can minimize themphatty26 said:threeanout said:

This is true but lost in his outing was he gave up a hit and a run but not for Kiel and Kent's relay to get the runner out at the plate for the second out was lost but if he scores it's 13-2 and runner on 2nd and one out.
Rudis was money after this play.

To be fair, he gave K.Wilson a shot in game two and he blew it
