When Homefield does something, they do it exactly right. Literally the only difference is the Vneck vs crew neck, but Vnecks weren't a thing in 1978.

(Also funny you show that last pic bc Texas, who does have a contract with Homefield didn't get included in this 20 school drop).

I was about to post depending on what part of the '70s the in which the game in the photo was played, possibly neither since the first game at Olsen was in March of 1978 and the Disch was February of 1975. If it is Mike Hurdle he lettered '77 thru '80, The series was played in College Station '77 & '79 and in Austin '78 & '80, so Kyle Field is a possibility. Looks to me that is a natural turf surface, did The Disch ever have real grass?

I think that is Kyle Field in 1977. The bleachers down the right field line at the Disch were pretty substantial, at least in our time. Olsen opened in 1978.

I think this is most likely the case. Color photo seems to match well with the B&W ones it was posted with and two of them are obviously Kyle Field and not Olsen.

it's definitely grass between the 1st base bag and the chain link fence

not sure if that's grass in front of 1st base

A&M and t.u. played against one another in the SWC tournament at DF in 1977 and 1979

The card featuring Hurdle was printed in 1978, so the photo is probably from the 1977.

Pretty sure that's Buster Turner with Hurdle in that photo. The DD might be Pam Evitt O'Connor.

1978 was a hell of a year. Went to a Saturday game at Baylor and watched us crush multiple bombs with a strong wind blowing out. Some ended up in the Brazos River.

That's photo filtering. Their maroon for us has been good.

And some people bought jerseys today and we won in great fashion, so now everyone knows what you have to do.

(I do not work for them, nor make commission, or referrals or any such- just giving good Ags heads up to good product they won't find from the usual spots).

Homefield tends to run a little snug.

I'm between sizes generally and prefer a tighter fit than most. Always end up needing the larger size from them.

It's not Arky red, but it isn't deep maroon. Looks good, but definitely runs small. I won't be able to wear mine until next season when I drop some lbs!
