If you're comparing SC to any of the good SEC offensive teams that's quite a standard. Now look at every other SEC outing he's had.

Some pitchers are just more comfortable out of the pen than being called as the starter. Sims is probably that kind of pitcher

Yes. You will not find a coach who has coached game 2 of the series ina tie game in the middle innings wave the white flag bc he wants pitchers for game 3. You win the series and then play with house money game 3. Hell start Rudis in game 3 at that point. You don't save pitchers in tie game…ever.

Um no. Unless the offense is showing some promise you go with the back end of the bullpen and hope for the best in order to keep your best arms for game three.

If you're comparing SC to any of the good SEC offensive teams that's quite a standard. Now look at every other SEC outing he's had.


SC is an SEC team, and had a 10 run lead on us. They are also pretty well coached. They aren't Tennessee or even pig, but they have some guys who can hit.

Rudis was hot and cold last year. Got better as the year went on. Guys have bad days sometimes.
