Same. I want people to keep questioning this team's ability to compete. I'd argue these boys could give last year's team a run for their money if they continue playing like we know they can.

A team on the rise against a former coach, coaching the rival, whom left under bad circumstances, first rematch, game away against the #1 team when initially we were the #1 ....yeah, they'll rank us to hype it up more.

This time of year the polls don't shift quickly, so I don't think we will be ranked. The week after we probably will be based on the tu results.

I'm sure it's happened before, but has a #1 team ever been swept at home by an unranked team? Just curious. That would be a nice little stat. Would help to counteract the stat that A&M had the fastest drop from preseason #1 to unranked in history.

Came here to make this same point. We will be ranked something like #22 or #21 just to give the game in Austin more appeal. I don't follow enough baseball to know who will fall out of the rankings but it will likely be a really small school despite a deserving spot due to their record.

TCU is the only team likely to fall out of the rankings this week. Not sure if we have what it takes just yet to grab that spot. Dallas Baptist, NC State, and Kentucky should all get in ahead of us.

They deserve it all. I fell into the microcosm of doubt and self loathing after that darn TN game. Someday hope we know what was said or done after that game.

That's what ESPN uses, that's what every outlet uses as the official form of rankings.
Kendall Rogers is not going to plug us into the top 25 for a matchup.
He'll do the opposite.
For as much heat as he takes for being a "homer", he's conservative with us.
And he'll enjoy unranked A&M over #1 Texas as much as anyone.

I agree with you on all this. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kentucky as a potential host if they keep playing well. There SEC schedule lightens up considerably after this week.
