It's been a highly competitive two games, surprisingly low scoring SEC games. Texas had a few advantages coming in - at home, performing better this season by quite a bit, seasoned HC, our past HC, our past HC and pitching coach know tendencies of not only our returning players but also Early. You could say Early and our hitting coach may know some tendencies of opposing players and coaches but that's were our ex HC's vast experience advantage comes into play.

SEC and their umps will do everything possible to keep us from a win. I think 100 from our pitcher toward the top of the catchers helmet that barely tips off the top of his mit would be extra fine.

Actually, it's the truth. Going in I felt this. Getting at least 1 win is actually success (minimum obviously) given the longer term picture for the season. It would have been amazing to win the series and would have meant the likelihood that we were not only "back" but would be seriously looking at hosting and a national seed wouldn't be out of the question. Amazing considering the start. Win tomorrow's game and we will be fine. Still could host, on path definitely for a 2 seed.

What if we win 7-2?

a win today would be huge on multiple levels a loss is not catastrophic as long as the game is tight like the first two. they are number 1 and at home they are a snidge better. right now. we're not far off and still some season left to play. win would be huge but playing good ball is most important outside of winning. we are still working to build to a crescendo.

No we are not on track to make a regional. We have to win a bunch from here on out. But I don't think it matters. Our BP doesn't have any depth so winning a region is not likely.

I guarantee you D1 baseball will have us projected as making a regional this week. We didn't go from a two seed to out of the entire thing because of a tight sweep at number 1 Texas

Don't forget Missouri "should" be a sweep at home since they are clearly a historically awful SEC team…that gets you to 11 wins and you can easily see at least 2 and hopefully 3 more between LSU and Georgia

It wasn't our bull pen that lost these last 3 games. It was our lack of clutch hitters on this year's Aggie team. No one has consistently came up with hits in critical situations with runners in scoring position in big games. No one. Jace may even need to come back for another year just to raise his draft potential after his critical lack of coming through at the plate in so many key situations this year (partially being facetious but not entirely). At least Jace has showed considerable skill on defense in center field as have Sorrell and Kiel. But, we need competitive hitters who come through in the clutch as we have had in prior years.
