Been watching weather, and while it's possible Friday night might struggle through being playable, just seems to make more sense to play a double header on what's shaping up to be a beautiful Saturday. Anyone with more insight or thoughts on when they might make the call?

Does anyone know how this works for tickets if the Saturday double header happens? I have tickets for Saturday but not Friday. I'm wondering how it will work
Game 1 would honor Friday's tickets and Game 2 would honor Saturdays tickets. Pretty sure this is how it would work, not 100% though bc game 1 would be a reschedule of Friday's gameIMissKellen said:

You have tickets for the second game, whenever it gets played.
Weather Underground (which I find is usually good at predicting timing) has moved the peak chances around a bit such that the peak times are now from 2-6. So, moving it up doesn't appear to be an option, and waiting it out could be iffy.
Always interesting times when storms brew up. Winds will be blowing in on Saturday.
Likely a double header Saturday. Forecast looks bad Friday, but great, low temps, Saturday.

Edit: I misread this post. You are correct they'll designate they which game tickets will be used for each game. I think they'll make Game 2 tickets the afternoon game of a double header and Game 1 tickets the nightcap.

I would imagine a Saturday double header… But also the weather for Saturday doesn't look that great either. Could they do a doubleheader on Sunday?
Saturday shows to be sunny in the high 70s all afternoon. It'll be great double header weather.
I'm just looking at the weather app and saw 55% for Saturday but it doesn't show hourly. Glad to see it's going to be gone by afternoon

We played the Arkansas Friday game late (8:00pm start) last year to let rain pass. We got that great pitchers duel too. I think we won 1-0.
Is there a deadline for them to make a call about moving tonight's game?

No. I think if we were going to get much advance notice, they probably would have made the decision yesterday. I think they are going to wait on developments and not make the call until it actually appears that we can't play tonight. I'm thinking between noon-2. It's all scattered and isolated until then. By 3, it's supposed to be widespread storms.
So any idea is there a deadline to make the game change to a Saturday double header or it could be any time?

In theory they could let us all in the stadium to not watch anything and then tell us to come back tomorrow…
It's looking like Tstorms this afternoon/evening some of which could produce hail and/or strong winds in addition to heavy rain.

So far all the radars are looking pretty solid rain. The intensity level has gone down, but it's weird. It rained a little more last night than I was expecting so maybe some of it pushed through early.
They made a call last week to move a game up two hours with no real rain probabilities but aren't making this call. We will see.

It's also less about the rain and more about the chance of lightning within 8 miles. Brutal impact on pitching rotation to have to start and stop like that. If it was just rain and no thunderstorm forecast, I'd put better odds on playing tonight. Still surprised they haven't made the call yet.annie88 said:
