Quite possibly the worst series loss I can remember given the situation…. Inexcusable in every facet and now we either have to win out, or win the SEC tournament.

Remember the last time we had a pitching coach for a head coach? RC was far more experienced in the dugout than Weiner when given the job. Are you willing to go through several down seasons in hopes of uncertain future success? If you are OK to go through that with Weiner, why not Earley?Jimma said:
I want him to coach the pitchers and I don't think he would come back as pitching coach but maybe as head coach.

Serious question. What do we have in the pipeline? I don't see it being better next season.giveemhell said:
The first 3 conference series (which included 2 sweeps) were unfortunate, a combination of the growing pains of a new head coach and injuries. 4 of the next 5 conference series were outstanding, including series wins over 3 top-5 teams. The Texas series stressed out the players and coaches of both teams, with Texas winning by 1 run in all 3 (could have easily gone the other way). In my mind, this late-season series against Mizzou is really the only one that falls into the category of inexplicable, but sometimes that happens in baseball. You're not going to fire a coach based on 1 inexplicable series in his first year.
