If Earley does get the boot, how about LSU Shreveport's head coach & staff? They're 54-0 this season; I'd say that's a decent enough of a resume to warrant consideration!!

Not saying he could not be a fantastic hire but it would mean taking a huge risk once again.

Neffendorf is 265-49 since 2020. Solid results - especially, this year's 54-0. You can't take that away from him, but... this is NAIA, RRAC (Red River Athletic Conference) which is a far cry from Div I, SEC. The jump would be yuge.

No; the ONLY post I made in support of Earley was keeping him on staff as a position coach, but not head coach. In fact, I don't care if he's made equipment manager; I just would rather him perform work in some capacity instead of riding off in the sunset with a 3 or 4 million buyout.

I assure everyone concerned that I am NOT in favor of keeping him as head coach; regardless, I'm FTA class of 97, so my BAS is so strong that I'm ambivalent about Aggie athletics as a whole.

As far as the Shreveport coach, AT LEAST he's a head coach for more than 1 year.

Is it "fire him after one year and no one will ever want to come here" or is it "school x fired their coach after one dismal year and being aggressive/not being satisfied with sub-par results is how you build champions"?

You see both arguments on here.

He will likely fit within Albers' budget.

That's a great story. Talk about starting from Ground Up. Reminds me of Jim Wells that coached at Bama a while ago.
