The two games yesterday were the most exciting and nerve racking that I can remember. Hate that we lost but I'll be rooting for DOT and her scrappy team the rest of the way.
How they ended up in our region is suspect, but we should have taken care of business.

What's next T&F then football...
Once more unto the breach dear friends.

I'm at the point where I'm an unabashed Aggie "bandwagon" fan. As soon as a team is doing something remotely good, exciting: count me in. As soon as they inevitably fail in some new and never before seen way, I'm out and my feelings stay protected.

The ladies battled hard, there's no doubt about that.

Moral victories!
Let's celebrate our "good try!" effort with Capri Sun and orange slices.

We make other teams better than they are and Liberty will get swept by Oregon.

Nothing in my post was related to moral victories. The games were full of comebacks, drama, suspense, and excitement. The results were unexpected and frustrating but it was a roller-coaster.

The most sacred Aggie tradition

Being ranked #1 and losing in the opening round is the most Aggie thing ever.

Still, good season ladies. Better than any other Aggie team else not named ladies tennis.

Is it though? Or does flaming out as the national #1 seed negate the regular season accomplishments?
I'd argue it does.

I'm a lifelong Mavs fan. The 2006-2007 67-15 record and Dirk's MVP are completely hollow b/c they lost 2-4 to the Warriors in the first round.

I get your point. Which is why I said "good", and not "great"

bandwagon fans.

89 BB and/or SB posts in 10 years. and then bash a team for a good, no, great, season. yeah, Mavs lost in 06. Wade killed em. Aggis lost 2 of 3 to Liberty. Flames crushed EK's fastball. and a marshmallow.

The season was great. Support was meh. for a program deserving of full houses every game. we learn, we get back up and try again. Who knows, 2026 might be Trisha Ford and her Aggies 2011.

It's not referred to as the "agony of defeat" for no small reason. I'm sure they will come back better for it. Looking forward to what Coach Ford is building.
