How well attended are these scrimmages for those who have been in the past?

I'm taking my son for his 8th birthday, but we're leaving after school and will probably arrive just as the game starts.

Will we be able to get seats? Standing room only? Just trying to get a feel for what to expect with multiple kids in tow.

Is it free to attend either the Baseball or Softball games next Friday 10/10 ... if there's a charge, anyone know what it is?

Never mind ... I see on the 12th Man athletics site that all exhibition games are 'Free Admission'.

Football game the day after wont effect the parking in Olsen lot? Thought that was used for RV parking during game weeks?

RV's are only on the Suite and Diamond Club parking areas. Everything from home plate to left field will be open and free.

Pretty much like a regular game, just longer to see more players/pitchers.

Atmosphere is fairly casual as compared to a regular game.

We usually go for several innings and then head out from there.

There are usually pitch limits per inning as they don't typically sub out pitchers during an inning. So once that pitcher reaches the limit, play stops, and the inning ends.

They will also switch the lineup up halfway through the game to get other players in. So Kiel might bat first and play center to begin the game, and then someone else might take over in center and bat 8th later on. They will also have 1 or 2 additional DH spots in the lineup, so not the typical 9 man batting order.

No. Brauny said this morning that there is no streaming (TV)

Always is with these. Surprised someone posted earlier they people wouldn't have an issue finding a seat. From what I could tell last year, they are always packed with the football game the next day

First base runner of the day is Jordan Wilson (HBP), driven in by a E8 (which they ruled a hit, then changed to an E) by Sorrell, who ended up at 3rd on the play and left stranded. Ags-1, cats 0 after 4

Darden pitched a scoreless T5.
First base hit belongs to Jake Duer, single in the 3-4 hole. Promptly followed by a LF single by Bear; only to be followed by an RBI single by Partida. BB by TK loads em up for Travis. GIDP scores Bear. RBI single by Wilson scores Partida. SB on next pitch and a passed ball moves him over to 3rd. RBI single off the 3rd baseman's glove by GG. 4-3 by Sorrell ends the inning with the Ags taking a 5-0 lead.

Interesting that at 1st base we've got Wesley Jordan starting (Baylor transfer who previously played OF, but has a shoulder injury). Hope he can stay healthy, make a seamless transition, and solidify that position for us.
