I don't have any details, but a Horn buddy of mine just texted me that Scott is in the ICU in Florida (I'm assuming Gainsville). I still have my "I drove the Caddy" shirt and I've chased a paperboy with him - fantastic guy regardless of where he went to school.

Please keep him in your hearts and prayers and here's to a swift recovery.

Hook'em Scott. You've got this.

Scott's sister posted this update:
Scott Wilson is still in CICU in NE Florida's #1 trauma unit. He has a team as big as Texas checking and working with him. He is still sedated and intubated and running fever. Folks are asking about his return to Austin. There is no timetable at all for that.

Great guy and loved coming to A&M tu games here at Olsen Field. Back in the 90's we were in Austin for the A&M tu baseball game. He invited us, The Raggies, to his house for a party. The place was a shrine to tu football and sports in general.. Every inch of wall space was covered in memorabilia.

Wilson was good people.

All you need to know about him was when the War Hymn was being played at Olsen, Wilson would saw varsity's horns off with the Raggies. I don't know of another tex fans they'd even allow in that row.

He was indomitable as a texas fan, always believed in his team. That passion was why he related so well to Aggies, we were all diehard fans, we just wore different colors.

One of my lasting memories of him is an A&M-tu game at Olsen, the sips were losing, and Wilson started running up and down the stairs in the second deck, clapping with every step, trying to get the tex fans into it, and bring about a rally.

I have known Scott since the 1970s and he is a die-hard horn but a good person. Kendall and I and family would get with him on some trips to games. Was with him when his mom died and it affected him greatly.

Every square foot of his house had horn sports photos with hundreds of memoblia scattered around. They should rebuild his house on campus and leave it as a museum.

When both teams were in Omaha the same year, Scott was a little light-headed and I drove his orange Caddie with the horns on the front across Omaha to a restaurant with him hitting his eyes of Texas horn the whole way. Scott would tell me that I was the only Aggie who ever drove his Cad through Omaha,

He was a special person and a dear friend who I admired his enthusiasm for his team.
