Brauny has stated as of recently that Marco's plan is still to play baseball this spring. Whether that happens or not, we will see.

I don't see how anyone can play in the trenches in football and be healthy enough to play baseball in the spring.

He's only getting ~10 plays a game right now, so if he's going to go try college baseball this is the year. He wants to do it.

But will he actually do it when he's staring at being able to lock down a starting DE job for next season if he devotes himself to football this spring, which potentially puts him 18 months away from life-changing money? The path to pro sports is a lot more likely, and quicker, in football.

I hope he gives baseball a shot though.

I agree. It was more a statement that the players that do football and baseball are mostly qbs/pitchers and not DE/Hitters.


ETA: I would love to see him on the diamond

JonJon Vaughns UCLA is the starting MLB and he also plays UCLA baseball. He is a relief pitcher but is labeled as a utility player as he can play outfield.

According to he media day talk he's good to go as soon as the seasons over for football. What that looks like no idea, but he wants to do it.

I think Brauny has said if we do see him out there, it is most likely in a DH role.
