I agree. Part of me feels like someone in the AD wanted him gone and just held firm against whatever contract demands he had. If Earley/Longley had any leverage, he'd probably still be here.
Assistant coaches having side businesses is such a weird concept though. If it's completely unrelated, I get it, but I don't think this was.
Yeah, I think this was a directive either from Earley or the AD to curtail outside of their role on staff. Both the S&C coach and Longley moved on due to side hustles. If someone is crushing it at their role, you don't push them out over a contract dispute. You make it work.
Seems like we hired well on the S&C side, and Earley took the reigns on hitting before the fall, so I think this is a non issue.
