Small sample size but VT's Friday night guy seems to be more of a long opener than a true starter if that makes sense. He's gone 2 IP and 3 IP respectively, both good outings so it's not like he was pulled for performance. Maybe they like him once through the order and pull him.

The same long reliever came in both times, did well against William & Mary, but got lit up vs Rutgers giving up 6 ER in 3 IP.

I also just realized our former reliever Peyton Smith is now on VT. Last outing wasn't great vs. Rutgers, went 0.2 IP, gave up 1 ER off of 1 H and 2 BB.
