It's just extra ridiculous bc it's a whole Sunday package advertising all of this stuff and that's why you buy it then less than 24 hours from the event they change it. It's ridiculous. Unbelievably greedy, and now they will make extra money on the general admission tickets

There isn't going to be a Sunday game no matter what they do. If they don't move it you're not going because it's going to get rained out. They're giving you a chance to see the game by playing it at a different time. That you can't make that time is an entirely different issue. I'll bet this policy is unchanged from the days it was printed under the Taco Bell ad on paper tickets. This isn't new. This is the real world with outdoor sports.

Yeah, it's not their fault, just kind of upset bc Friday at 2 is a work time that I can't make it too and specifically planned for Sunday

You should go and sit in the stands alone and watch the rain on Sunday. They can't help the weather man…

What they can help is actually making it right instead of screwing people over. It's 4 days out and the weather is supposed to be bad. I think it will rain too but 4 days out ? How accurate are the they when percentage wise ? So instead of the Game being cancelled and getting at least a ticket to future game they switch it to a day that happens in about 16 hours leaving no time to do anything about it. How often do we have Sunday games changed to Friday at 2 pm and it changed at about Thursday at 6 pm ??? Is this a normal thing ? I could understand changing times on Sunday, or even to a weekend day Saturday, but Friday at 2. That's the middle of a freaking work day. I would assume they would have changed it to that time even if there was school. So a Sunday Game and a Friday at 2 are not even remotely similar; it's night and day.

This rarely happens with moving a Sunday to Friday but it's abundantly clear there won't be a window to play on Sunday because once it starts raining on Saturday it's not going to stop til late next week. Their #1 priority is to play the game. I'm still thinking the Saturday game moves up to about 10am.

If they could have moved the game to Saturday, they would have. I likewise think they are giving themselves flexibility on Saturday to move that game earlier.

So you would prefer they wait until a day before (Saturday), then cancel it, and not even play the game? They have a 72 hour window for games when a team comes in.
The fact that they are being proactive rather than reactive and that bothers you is amazing to me. It stinks for people who wanted to go to the game on Sunday, but regardless there is not going to be a game on Sunday.

I actually think the Saturday game will be moved earlier.

From the forecast, Sunday afternoon actually looks fairly clear. However, I could see the field condition being the issue if it rains the 1-2 inches they are projecting from Saturday afternoon and overnight.

And to the OP…. Dude, it's weather. They're trying their best to get the games in. I'm sure the players would rather have a stadium full of fans on a Sunday instead of a half full venue on a Friday afternoon. But it happens. Roll with it and find an indoor family activity to enjoy on Sunday afternoon instead.

I don't have a dog in this hunt as I am out of state right now, but it seems odd that the Sunday replacement game is the 1st game on Friday.

What is logical in my illogical mind is that the Game 1 tickets would be the Friday 2pm game, the Saturday tickets would be the doubleheader game tonight, and the Game 3 tickets would be the Saturday game. Swapping the Sunday Game 3 tickets for Game 1 (the 2pm game) doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Probably easier to change 1 game in the ticketing system than a domino effect on 3 games.

It makes perfect sense. The Sunday game is the one being moved, so the Sunday tickets are the ones that get you into that same game at the new time. The Friday and Saturday games have not been moved or changed.

It's not like they wanted to change it. Looks like there is way to get a refund if you're not able to attend the game. I understand this is frustrating but it is no one's fault.

i understand the frustration completely. In most parts of life in the free world, you pay for something and expect and deserve to get what you paid for. And good businesses understand that and dont take advantage of the customer.

Yhese arguments like "well it's not their fault" are completely irrelevant. No one is arguing they should play the Sumday game, only that if they can't provide the product paid for, they should refund the money paid.

period.

I recommend still calling. Let them know how many people are affected and disappointed in the policy. It might not change anything, but at least they will know.

I will tell you what is embarrassing, is how pathetic you are for trying to **** on me bc I expect to get what I paid for and what they promoted as a package, even on Thursday with the rain in the forecast. I went to A&M by the way and so did my mom, dad, grandfather, uncle, etc. I am absolutely disgusted with people like you.

Their position is you bought a ticket to home game number 10, not to a game on Sunday at 1 pm. They can't guarantee you a game on Sunday at 1 pm for this exact reason but they can guarantee you that home game number 10 will be played weather permitting and your ticket will be honored for that game. This is sports ticketing and has been forever.

It's absolutely horrendous customer service to move a game in 4 days that is on a weekend and then move it to a time that starts in 19 hours in the middle of the work day. People saying otherwise are completely disingenuous. I understand they had to move the game but under the circumstances I thought the right thing to do was refund or credit to a midweek game or something. That's all, I have no idea why everyone is trying to act like that's ridiculous.

Looking at Weather Underground, right the Saturday afternoon and evening time slot looks to be the worst time to try and play a game. Sunday starting at noon looks much better. That will be a mess if it ended up being on Sunday afternoon but is the Saturday ticket.

That was my point, they went by weather 4 days out and then tried to sneak it in with less than 20 hours of notice . Normally you would wait until closer to Sunday for a change. Then your new Game wouldn't be so far away time wise from your original game. 4 days out is incredibly unreliable

I agree that it's a stupid and ultimately self-defeating policy, I don't care how many decades they've been doing it that way. Full refund should be an option any time they move the starting time of a game. People have lives. Customer goodwill is worth far more than the price of a couple of tickets.

Maybe should have decided this sooner?

Sunday money should be refunded immediately to anyone who has tickets and can't make fri or sat.

Because of the way we experience spacetime, one can not move a Sunday game to the previous Friday once that Friday is over. They waited as long as they could.

The weather actually looks much better for Sunday and now Saturday looks way worse. I understand they are trying to be proactive, but weather 4 days out is unbelievably unreliable and the further you move the original game away the harder it is to justify it as being remotely close to a weekend game. And then you do it with less than 20 hours before the game. Lots of people were very upset, I am sure they got tons of calls from people not happy. My opinion is that you don't screw over the customer and you try to make it right etc. But I guess plenty on here don't care at all
