The only way I see this is for him to DH. There is not really a spot in the outfield (unless you DH Duer, Sorrell or TK). Jorian at DH would mean you're sitting Wesley or Bindy.

I'm honestly not sure, I just know that Jorian undoubtedly has one of the highest ceilings on this team. You could probably put in in the OF and have Duer DH, but that would mean taking Bindy/Jordan out of the lineup. It's a tough call, I just feel like Jorian could end up as a top 5 player on the team if he's given the chance.

I think he's still pretty raw at the plate. His upside is tremendous, but letting him work in low leverage situations is probably the right move for now.

sounds like they have bullpen problems as well.

If TK's OBP isn't good enough for him to leadoff, you have to think about putting Jorian in his place in RF and the lineup. Probably a bit early for that, but it could happen.

Dang, I wish I had flipped over to that. I saw the score was 6-0 in the 5th so I figured the cougars wouldn't come back. Then I started watching some other stuff and forgot. Always fun to see sip lose.

Those two missed throws and catches at second were funny.

If you know this for sure, why isn't he playing more?

Remember, there are several astute TexAgs coaches who say we are good mid-week but suck on the weekends. So, if this is true, how much does this kid suck to not be able to play Fri-Sun?

Honest question.

The coaches themselves(I know Cliff for sure just off the top of my head) have said Jorian is one of the most gifted players they've ever seen. TexAgs staff has said the same thing. I think the consensus is that he's a five tool player with first round potential. But he's also like 18 years old and brand-new to SEC baseball. There's obviously growing pains associated with that. But the ceiling remains, and he's only going to reach it by getting more ABs and reps in the OF.

surprised he hasn't been DH more. Figured at the start of the season we'd see him more after his first game or two

What is even worse is that they only had 3 hits against Cougar mid-week pitching. Those 7 runs were from 3 errors and free bases given up by Houston.
We would get better recruits if we had a Waffle House in CS.

Well if he can figure out a way to hit sec pitching he has a chance. Just won't happen this year.

hes gonna be a monster before he leaves A&M though.
