I'm not looking forward to the tu series. Their pitching and coaching is much better than ours
Their bullpen has looked just as mortal as ours some games.
No comment on the coaching

F ou , they are the biggest chokers when they play tu. We gave them two games but I like our chances against cow. If our bats are working we'll be in every game. Cow doesn't have much power.

Totally different OU team than what we saw a couple weeks ago
They can pitch this series (or at least this game)
The reason it's tied is because they cant
If the Aggie pitching have given up only 3 runs in 9 innings they would be 6-1 (or 5-2 if you discount the two garbage time runs in the Friday Georgia game) in league play and that is with an offense that you complain about quite often in game threads.

We're not talking about the Aggies. OU had a 3 run lead in the 8th and walked in 3 runs. That ain't pitching worth a crap.

I don't really understand how the Aggies are currently no. 16 in rpi. Tenn Tech is 246, Penn is 174 and Oakland is 212. And Mizzou is 127. But I'll take it. If the season ended today I guess the Aggies would be a solid no. 2 seed.
1. We have zero bad losses. Three of the 5 losses are to rpi top 20 teams at neutral sites/road. Bad losses hurt more than good wins helpMcInnis said:

Mercer was 21-4 going into those two. Those are good wins for Oregon stateLuke The Drifter said:McInnis said:

We're roughly at the midway point of the season, so the RPI isn't fully effective. Not enough data points and still lots of wild swings up and down based on one or two games. For example, Oregon State has jumped 15 spots this week with a win at USC (impressive) and two wins at home vs. Mercer (not impressive). Texas State has jumped 20 spots this week simply by beating UT-RGV at home and winning two road games at Georgia State.
The RPI will be much more indicative of actual relative strengths of teams in about 3 more weeks. It just takes time and more data points for a ranking system like this to sharpen its pencil to get more accurate numbers.

Just remember this is Vandy-Tennessee. This is top level hatred.
Granted the Auburn-Alabama game yesterday was peak rivalry entertainment.
Any good lip readers out there

We don't have the pitching needed to win against the better SEC teams.

An RPI of 16 is nice, but I'm not convinced we have the pitching to be successful against the better teams in the conference. Feeling good about a sweep later today. Less sold on our longer-term prospects.
