hard to believe it's been that long, but the split-series era lasted 20 seasons (1993-2012).

the sips won the series at Olsen in 1992 -- taking two of three. The Ags' last 3-game series win at Olsen was the year before -- the 1991 sweep. The sips last sweep at Olsen was 1985.

t.u. checks in at #2 in the polls. A series win by A&M would mark the highest ranked longhorn team ever beaten in a 3-game series -- per the media guide.

so the Ags have now won three of the last four 3-game series played at BBP/Olsen: 1989, 1991, and 2026

Earley wins a series vs. t.u. in his second year. It took MJ until year 5 (1989) and Childress until year 7 (2012)

by clinching the series today, the 2026 squad now owns the mark for beating the highest-ranked t.u. team in a weekend series

Lafayette at RPI #48. But only 5-9 in the Sun Belt

Don't forget Texas State as a possible 2 seed. Currently 38 in the RPI. And Rice is lurking at 61 in the RPI and playing better as of late, winning 8 of their last 11. Only 2 games out of first in the American. And Dallas Baptist...uncharacteristically bad RPI this year (79), but 10-4 in C-USA and a contender to win the conference and/or conference tourney.

If we can pull off the sweep, we could do some serious climbing in the polls next week as there has been lots of carnage inflicted on teams ahead of us.

And taking the first two from sip has raised our RPI to 11 on Warren Nolan.

Florida just hit another home run off Georgia. Would love to see the stats on the last Hr because it looks like it had a 70 degree launch angle and just hung up there forever.

Even the batter thought it was either foul or a pop up

Swept in back to back series home series after sweeping Ole Miss in Oxford. The SEC is crazy this year.
