The nerdcast projects out the season. The current ranking is just that... A current snapshot.

That said I haven't watched this episode yet so not sure how they arrived at that.

Except that D1 has 3 teams from CUSA (Liberty, Jax State, and Missouri State) with two having asterisks which isn't possible. Assuming just a mistake on their part.
