So of the recruits we have for the 2026 class, who all are we at high risk of losing to the draft?

And with the pitchers, do we have any velos and pitch mixes to go off of?

Not sure who would be considered "high risk", but here are the recruits for 2026:

It's good a guy named Catcher Hopkins is playing catcher.

HS SS doesn't mean they project to SEC SS. SS is typically one of if not the best player on the field at lower levels, so it makes sense. Many coaches have talked about making a team out of former SSs.

If his performance in the state tourney last year is any indication, he's phenomenal behind the plate.

Man, you gotta have some big cajones to try to come to a program like A&M right out of high school. There are eight freshmen on the roster right now. Two have been season-long starters, four have played to some degree or another, two appear to be redshirting.

2 - Nico Partida ... has started all season so far.
INF/RHP - 6' 0'' - 195 - Fr. - R/R - Manvel, Texas / Pearland

6 - Boston Kellner - has started all season so far.
INF 6' 0'' 205 Fr. R/R Chandler, Ariz. / Hamilton

14 - Luke Billings ... has played in two games (pitched one inning and walked in his one at-bat)
OF/RHP 6' 2'' 200 Fr. R/R Prosper, Texas / Prosper

15 - David Ramirez ... (no stats this season)
LHP 5' 11'' 165 Fr. L/L Kemah, Texas / Clear Falls

23 - Jorian Wilson ... (has been making an impact lately but still gets an asterisk for being < the minimum requirement of 2 PA/G and 75% of games played)
OF 6' 4'' 240 Fr. L/R Hallettsville, Texas / Hallettsville

30 - Hunter Vincent ... (has pitched 6.1 innings this season so far)
LHP 6' 3'' 220 Fr. L/L Prosper, Texas / Prosper

36 - Cole Hubert ... (has pitched 15.2 innings this season so far)
LHP 5' 11'' 170 Fr. L/L Hellertown, Pa. / Saucon Valley

44 - Cooper Fulbright ... (no stats this season)
RHP 6' 2'' 190 Fr. R/R Missouri City, Texas / Strake Jesuit

Part of the reason we do not see more is that Ramirez is out for the season due to injury and was expected to provide some innings this year.

Billings and Fulbright have also dealt with injuries.

JD Alexander (one of the top players out of LA), Harper Gates (mid rank TX player), and CJ Sampson are all 2-way players

Connor Comeau has logged some innings but I believe is still raw from a pitching perspective - I would see him more as an infielder

Trey Ebel is the son of Dodgers 3rd Base coach Dino Ebel and his brither was drafted out of high school. I think he is draft risk.

Chandler Hart looks like he could be an intimidating presence on the mound. He is a 6'6 LHP and is adding weight every year. Could be a draft risk.

Ryan Harwood has pitched some but is probably more of an outfielder.

Catcher Hopkins has been mentioned.

Matthew Kelley is the 3rd best prep out of NV

Cayden King is a 6'5 RHP

Josh Livingston and Evan Mihaly are LHP with low 90s FBs

Drew Milner and Graeson Register are the same, just RHPs

Trent Vilade is another 2-way guy

Though short in stature, Elijah Williams is one of the top LHP out of OK

Brauny said yesterday in his podcast that the recruitment was between us and tu. Earley tried to sell him on how many bombs he would hit here vs tu's park. I bet he thought about that on the way home just a bit. Plus, that stadium has no juice. Our crowd had to make an impression on future portal players. Hopefully, the new player facility will help greatly going forward in getting more transfer players.

Starting 3 freshmen has to give these guys some confidence to stay in school. We need as many as possible to keep the pipeline of good fish continuing.

I thought Hacopian could be Robbins. Still believing he can get on track.

You recruit as many as you can because almost every great high school athlete plays shortstop. If they are bigger bodied and won't have the range for SS but have the arm, move to 3B (GG and Nico). If they have the range but not the arm 2B. And if those 3 infield positions are covered but you need to find a spot in the lineup for another middle infielder, most of those guys are good enough athletes to pick up an outfield spot pretty quickly.

Trey Ebel - 124
Connor Comeau - 76

Gavin Grahovac - 102
Shane Sdao - 82
Caden Sorrell - 19
Chris Hacopian- 17
