Fun story, I befriended a TCU pitcher who got a ball 8 chant in a Super (back when coach sidechair was at TCU) he said he simply cannot watch TAMU baseball because he gets PTSD from that chant.

Oh wow.

I've had season tickets since 2012 and I think the most 'ball fives' ever remember was once it got up to 13 about 10 or 11 years ago. I also once saw nine engines on a train.

I can imagine with some of the pictures it really bugs them. I think others just shake it off. I also believe that sometimes when the ball is close to a ball or strike, the umpire will call a strike just to make it stop.

If you recall back then, Schloss hated walks. He would pull pitchers with low PCs if they gave up 2 walks in an inning.

Not saying this kid is remotely comparable to Shohei, but this video shows what tunneling is and why hitting a baseball is so damn tough. Sidenote, I can spend hours watching this stuff from pitchingninja...


This LSU pitcher is kinda the opposite of this particular video. Folks are chasing the junk pitches because they aren't seeing it. At all.
