i'd think right now we'd definitely be a National top 8 seed… from the sec, we'd fall in line after Georgia at this point
I'm thinking 7-5 over these next four. Then 2-1 midweek. I don't see any way 20-10 is less than a 5 seed. Even the 2 series at home should bump RPI.

Simply put it analyzes how players are playing and makes an "expected win" index. If a team is batting .400 vs 4-5 ERA pitchers, and they should expect similar BA in their outtings with future comparable pitchers.
Obviously its not set in stone, as a predictive metric. According to the ELO we should have been swept by Texas. But the longer the season goes the more accurate it should be.
Of course there are things like coaching (when to pull pitchers, calling sac-flies, stolen base attempts) that can wreck or decide games.

It's a dbag move but Schloss would scuttle those games if we got into this kind of situation.

IMO, you gotta do what you gotta do. If we are on the bubble for a top 8 seed, I wouldn't be opposed to cancelling.

They are mid40s RPI and had a game vs Dayton (#200) mid-week. They called Miami of Ohio (#55) who was scheduled to play Bellarmine (#220) and said, "how about we dump these losers and play each other?"
So Michigan will drive down to Miami of OH and Dayton and Bellarmine play each other.

Baseball America released their updated Regional Projections today. Sure, it's still early, but I like seeing how things would look to them if the season ended today. This would be a very favorable setup:
Ags at a 6 seed, paired with FSU. If seeding held to Omaha, we'd be on the same side as tu.
